The Pumpkin that was not in the Plan

in GEMS4 years ago
Pumpkin planting is not in the plan. It is planted in the other pouch, I just moved it for a while so that in a moment I can think of a place to put or move it. If I could only show the appearance of this squash plant before, you would not think it would survive. Because it is thin and withered the leaves.

This plant is lucky because its temporarily relocated soil is fertile soil. So after just 7 days, you can see the change immediately. But I have no plans to revive it, because the place where the pumpkin is placed is for papaya. The squash soil is very fertile because the bottom is the decaying skin of fruits and vegetables, and alternately placing rotting vegetables and fruits and the soil to balance.

This is when the Pumpkin was Young

This pumpkin is only 8 days from the day I took the picture. It grows quickly if you water it daily and if the soil is fertile. The soil I used in the plant was not just soil, it was a mixture of fruit and vegetable skins and pine sand.

If you are going to use natural soil fertilizer, start storing it now in a bucket or sack, as it takes at least 15 days before you can use the soil. Unless you are going to use fertilizer on the ground are crushed dried leaves and crushed egg shells. In just 1 week, you can use the soil for planting as long as you alternate watering the stored soil and make sure the bucket or sack used has holes to make the soil evaporate easily and dry easily.

After 20 days

Just a few days later the squash plant was so big and long. I can already see in its leaves how healthy it is. Do not confuse a small hole near the plant, because this is where I will move the papaya.

I have a good plan for planting plants, I want to put two more holes for papaya, so that I can grow three papayas. I was excited to use the first hole I made for papaya, because this soil is very healthy because it contains only dried crushed leaves and a little fine sand.

Do you see that there are white sticks stuck next to the plant? This is to support the plant to grow and to follow it where it should go as it grows.

The Molding of the Plant to its Intended Destination

Four days later, I thought of separating the pumpkin branches and leaving only five branches and removing the excess branches so as not to deplete nutrients to other branches and fruits as it grows. I have to keep it only five branches until it bears fruit.

This is also the reason I put two or three more holes between the pumpkin branches for my papaya plant. And another reason is, as it grows you will see that it already has flower buds. This means that one of these flowers can be a source of pumpkin.

So every second day it needs to be visited and see it if it has excess branches and it needs to be removed and prune, so as not to deprive the plant of nutrients.

Very nice! May pumpkin din akong tanim but nasa paso lang. Wala kasi lupa dito sa apartment. Bahala na kapag magstart na siya gumapang.

Pwede na yan! Lagyan mo lang ng magagapangan pataas! Then putulin mo yung mga sobrang sanga!
