El trabajo como recreador.
Working as a recreationist.
Amigos quiero contarlos un poco mas sobre mi vida, enseñarles el lado profesional que muchas personas al conocerme no se creen fácilmente que viva haciendo esto y que de verdad le tenga tanto amor como le tengo a la recreación y al trabajar con los mas pequeños de la casa.
Friends I want to tell you a little more about my life, show you the professional side that many people when they meet me do not easily believe that I live doing this and that I really have as much love as I have for recreation and working with the little ones of the house.
Desde hace varios años comencé a trabajar en el mundo de la recreación para fiestas tanto infantiles como de adulto, al principio solo me encargaba de animar y hacer un ambiente cómodo para que las personas disfrutaran su evento y quisieran seguir comprando bebidas, pero, después de un verano en el cual me uni a un taller de adiestramiento para recreadores quede enamorado de ese trabajo. La idea de poder ser quien transforme totalmente el ambiente de un evento me gusto tanto que apenas terminaron esos talleres, comencé a trabajar con la agencia de un amigo como recreador infantil en eventos por toda la ciudad.
Several years ago I started working in the world of recreation for both children and adult parties, at first I was only in charge of animating and making a comfortable environment for people to enjoy their event and want to keep buying drinks, but, after a summer in which I joined a training workshop for recreators I fell in love with that job. The idea of being able to be the one to totally transform the atmosphere of an event was so appealing to me that as soon as those workshops were over, I started working with a friend's agency as a children's entertainer at events all over the city.
Conforme el tiempo pasaba iba aprendiendo muchas cosas nuevas sobre como ser un buen recreador, aprendí a modular mi voz de diferentes maneras y así volver mas dinámicas las actividades. También aprendí que la actitud es algo imprescindible dentro de la recreación y dentro de la vida, que siempre debo mantener buena cara y que mi actitud positiva y enérgica terminara contagiando a las personas que están bajo mi cuidado. También aprendí que sin importar que tan bueno sea mi plan ante algo, nunca esta de mas tener un plan B o en su defecto, ser bueno para improvisar.
As time went by I learned many new things about how to be a good entertainer, I learned how to modulate my voice in different ways to make the activities more dynamic. I also learned that attitude is a must in recreation and in life, that I should always keep a good face and that my positive and energetic attitude will end up infecting the people under my care. I also learned that no matter how good my plan is, it never hurts to have a plan B or, failing that, to be good at improvising.
Los años pasaron, unas puertas se cierran y otras se abren, acabe en mi actual compañía como recreador y mas allá de eso he ido aprendiendo a manejarme tanto como recreador, presentador, un par de veces como DJ y en el momento de armar y desarmar aprendí a ser un maestro del Tetris en el vehículo del trabajo. Cuando me comencé a disfrazar crei que fracasaría, pero, el show continua y soy una persona que aprendió a adaptarse a cualquier panorama; sin importar el peso de las cabezas falsas o lo incomodo que fue aprender a bailar y moverse con un traje puesto, pudimos superar esta prueba y por ende debo admitir que esos trajes me quedan geniales.
Years went by, some doors closed and others opened, I ended up at my current company as a reenactor and beyond that I have been learning how to handle myself as a reenactor, emcee, a couple of times as a DJ and when it comes to set up and take down I learned to be a Tetris master in the work vehicle. When I started dressing up I thought I would fail, but, the show goes on and I am a person who learned to adapt to any scenario; no matter the weight of the fake heads or how uncomfortable it was to learn to dance and move with a costume on, we were able to pass this test and therefore I must admit that those costumes look great on me.
