I will share with you a delicious and beautiful recipe of some small heart-shaped empanadas, of sweet potatoes stuffed with chicken ... these are ideal for your parties and family gatherings ... they are golden and crispy, you can fill them with cheese, ham, meat or whatever you want .
Compartiré con ustedes una deliciosa y hermosa receta de unas pequeñas empanadas en forma de corazón , de batatas rellenas de pollo…estas son ideales para tus fiestas y reuniones familiares… quedan doradas y crujientes, puedes rellenarlas con queso, jamón , carne o lo que desees.
You will need the following ingredients:
Necesitarás los siguientes ingredientes:
• 1 medium sweet potato.
• 1 cup of cornmeal.
• Salt and pepper.
• Oil for frying.
• 1 egg.
• Chicken stir-fry to fill.
• 1 heart-shaped cookie cutter.
• 1 batata mediana.
• 1 taza de harina de maíz.
• Sal y pimienta.
• Aceite para freír.
• 1 huevo.
• Sofrito de pollo para rellenar.
• 1 cortador de galletas en forma de corazón.
Initially, we boil the sweet potato, then we remove its outer crust and mash.
Inicialmente, hiervimos la batata, luego retiramos su corteza exterior y trituramos.
Next, we add salt and pepper to season and add the egg.
Seguidamente, agregamos sal y pimienta para condimentar y adicionamos el huevo.
Add the cornmeal and knead to form a smooth dough.
Agregamos la harina de maíz y amasamos hasta formar una masa suave.
We spread the dough and with some cookie cutters we take out the shapes of hearts.
Extendemos la masa y con unos cortadores en forma de galletas sacamos las formas de corazones.
We take the sweet potato dough hearts and one part we add a portion of chicken, then we place another heart of dough on top and with our hands we close the edges.
Tomamos los corazones de masa de batata y a una parte añadimos una porción de pollo, luego colocamos otro corazón de masa encima y con nuestras manos cerramos por los bordes.
Finally, we fry in oil until golden brown.
Por último, freímos en aceite hasta dorar.
