Living in a small city, I too feel sometimes that metro cities are a better option.
But what I truly crave for is to live somewhere like Mangalore....total peace.
After all, we can always go to a metro city, but a peaceful home is what we all yearn for.
And you are definitely enjoying a semi-retired life...this is the kind of life I have seen people planning for after their retirement...a beautiful beach, silence...couple of friends...life is good.
I like how you worded it. Many of my friends now are thinking about this-just as how our parents did which is to keep all the good times for a post-retirement life and not live today enjoying these moments.
I don't envy the busy life during the week and parties scheduled on the weekends anymore. Initially when I moved back I missed the busy life in Delhi/NCR region. I'm now free to chill any day of the week now which is a better trade off. It would be nice to do this for a long time to come indeed!
