Greetings boys, how are you? I'm very well, today we change the film, this time it's the turn of "Tangled", firstly performing the character of Rapunzel, that sweet girl with huge magic hair, who lives guarded for years by her false and evil mother, who kidnapped her while she was still a baby and kept her captive. Now I will explain step by step how I got the final result. Without further ado, let's get started.
Saludos chicos, ¿Cómo están? Yo muy bien, hoy cambiamos de película, esta vez le toca el turno a “Enredados”, primeramente realizando el personaje de Rapunzel, esa dulce chica de enorme cabellera mágica, que desde años vive custodiada por su falsa y malvada madre, la cual la rapto siendo ella todavía un bebé y la mantiene cautiva. Ahora explicare el paso a paso de como obtuve el resultado final. Sin más que decir empecemos.
Process / Proceso
Sketch / Boceto
For the sketch I start by making guide lines, here I shape the character of Rapunzel, the dress he wears and the frying pan he uses as a mortal weapon.
Para el boceto empiezo realizando líneas guías, acá le doy forma al personaje de Rapunzel, el vestido que usa y el sartén que utiliza como arma mortal.
Outlined / Delineado
Once I have the sketch ready, I proceed to refine the whole figure, using the pencil brush, detailing each part of the drawing.
Una vez teniendo listo el boceto, procedo a refinar toda la figura, usando el pincel lapiz, detallando cada parte del dibujo.
Colour / Color
Now using the marker brush and being careful not to get out of the lines I apply the color to each part of the figure, and with the airbrush I put some blush to the cheeks.
Ahora usando el pincel rotulador y teniendo cuidado de no salirme de las líneas aplico el color a cada parte de la figura, y con el aerógrafo coloco un poco de rubor a las mejillas.
Shadows / Sombras
I proceed to place the shadows, for this I take a little darker color and I apply softly these shadows using the airbrush. In this step I take advantage to place the texture to the frying pan and the design to the clothes.
Procedo a colocar las sombras, para esto tomo un color un poco más oscuro y aplico suavemente dichas sombras usando el pincel aerógrafo. En este paso aprovecho a colocar la textura al sarten y el diseño a la vestimenta.
Lights / Luces
With the marker brush at low opacity, I apply small flashes of brightness, where I consider that the light reaches the character. A little bit on the hair, face, dress and frying pan, I refine certain areas using the airbrush to create a smooth gradient.
Con el pincel rotulador a baja opacidad, voy aplicando pequeños destellos de brillo, donde considero que la luz llega al personaje. Un poco en el cabello, rostro, vestido y sarten, afino ciertas zonas usando el pincel aerógrafo para crear un suave degradado.
Background / Fondo
We made the drawing of the background inspired by the interior of the tower, with the watercolor brush we give shape to the structures that make up that space and in the end we blur a little to give an effect of distance.
Realizamos el dibujo del fondo inspirándonos en el interior de la torre, con el pincel acuarela vamos dando forma a las estructuras que conforman ese espacio y al final difuminamos un poco para dar un efecto de lejanía.
Details / Detalles
To complete the drawing we add certain details, flowers to decorate the hair, and embroidery and braids for the dress.
Para finalizar el dibujo lo completamos agregando ciertos detalles, flores para adornar el cabello, y el bordado y trenzas para el vestido.
Materials / Materiales
The tools I used for the drawing were the following:
- Android tablet.
- Capacitive pen (Stylus).
- Ibis Paint X program.
- Brushes: Pencil, Airbrush, Watercolor, Marker.
Las herramientas que use para el dibujo fueron las siguientes:
- Tableta Android.
- Lápiz Capacitivo (Stylus).
- Programa Ibis Paint X.
- Pinceles: Lapiz, Aerografo, Acuarela, Rotulador.
