I've always admired Tyrion's intelligence and cunning, so I was thrilled with the idea of reimagining him in an anime style, an approach that gives a fresh and dynamic touch to his already fascinating personality. In this fan art, I've captured Tyrion in a firm, determined stance, looking straight ahead as the horizon stretches out behind him. His signature blond hair, I've styled it with the sleek messiness that the anime handles so well, framing his face and enhancing his determined expression.
To add a regal and evocative touch, I've depicted him with fur covering his shoulders, a nod to the cold weather that often surrounds this character in the series. This detail not only adds texture and visual richness to the artwork, but also underscores Tyrion's position in the complicated and ruthless world of Westeros.
My goal with this illustration was to capture the essence of Tyrion Lannister: his resilience, his cunning, and his ability to stand his ground even in the darkest of times, all combined with the visual charm of the anime. Process / Proceso
Creating this illustration of Tyrion Lannister was an exciting process that began with the development of a sketch. In this initial stage, I focused on capturing the essence of the character and establishing his pose and expression. I drew Tyrion from the front, with a determined expression, leaving room for the details of the hair and the skin covering his shoulders. The sketch was an exercise in exploration, allowing me to experiment with different angles and proportions until I found the pose that best reflected his character.
Once the sketch was ready, I moved on to outlining. Here, I made sure the lines were clean and precise, clearly defining the contours of the face, hair and skin over her shoulders. This step is crucial to give structure to the illustration and to make sure that all the elements are well defined. In outlining, I also paid attention to the finer details, such as the messy layers of hair and wrinkles in the skin, which bring realism and texture to the image.
With the eyeliner completed, it was time to add color. For Tyrion, I selected a palette that reflected both his nature and the environment of Westeros. His blond hair I painted with golden tones that stand out in the anime style, while for the skin on his shoulders I used warm, earthy colors that suggest a cold, harsh climate. The coloring process allowed me to bring the character to life, making each element of the illustration stand out harmoniously.
After applying the base colors, I worked on the shadows. Here, I concentrated on giving depth and volume to the image, adding subtle shadows on the hair, face and skin. The shadows not only help define the shapes, but also convey a sense of realism and three-dimensionality, making Tyrion seem almost tangible. I paid special attention to the light hitting the character, imagining a light source that accentuates his most distinctive features.
Finally, I added the glows. This last step is always one of my favorites, as it adds a touch of life and dynamism to the illustration. I incorporated soft highlights on Tyrion's hair, making it look shinier and silkier, and on the details of the skin, to bring out the texture and luxury of the material. The shimmers were also strategically placed in the eyes, bringing a sparkle to them that captures his insight and determination.
This process, from the initial sketch to the final touches of glitter, allowed me to transform an idea into a work that combines the best of anime style with the powerful presence of Tyrion Lannister. Each stage of the drawing was an opportunity to explore and experiment, and I'm very happy with the end result.
Crear esta ilustración de Tyrion Lannister fue un proceso emocionante que comenzó con la elaboración de un boceto. En esta etapa inicial, me enfoqué en capturar la esencia del personaje y establecer su postura y expresión. Dibujé a Tyrion de frente, con una expresión decidida, dejando espacio para los detalles del cabello y la piel que cubre sus hombros. El boceto fue un ejercicio de exploración, permitiéndome experimentar con diferentes ángulos y proporciones hasta que encontré la pose que mejor reflejaba su carácter.
Una vez que el boceto estuvo listo, pasé al delineado. Aquí, me aseguré de que las líneas fueran limpias y precisas, definiendo claramente los contornos del rostro, el cabello y la piel sobre sus hombros. Este paso es crucial para darle estructura a la ilustración y asegurarme de que todos los elementos estén bien definidos. En el delineado, también presté atención a los detalles más finos, como las capas desordenadas del cabello y las arrugas en la piel, que aportan realismo y textura a la imagen.
Con el delineado completado, llegó el momento de añadir color. Para Tyrion, seleccioné una paleta que reflejara tanto su naturaleza como el entorno de Westeros. Su cabello rubio lo pinté con tonos dorados que resaltan en el estilo anime, mientras que para la piel de los hombros utilicé colores cálidos y terrosos que sugieren un clima frío y severo. El proceso de coloreado me permitió darle vida al personaje, haciendo que cada elemento de la ilustración resaltara de manera armónica.
Después de aplicar los colores base, me dediqué a trabajar en las sombras. Aquí, me concentré en dar profundidad y volumen a la imagen, añadiendo sombras sutiles en el cabello, el rostro y la piel. Las sombras no solo ayudan a definir las formas, sino que también transmiten una sensación de realismo y tridimensionalidad, haciendo que Tyrion parezca casi tangible. Presté especial atención a la luz que incide en el personaje, imaginando una fuente de luz que acentúa sus rasgos más distintivos.
Finalmente, agregué los brillos. Este último paso es siempre uno de mis favoritos, ya que añade un toque de vida y dinamismo a la ilustración. Incorporé reflejos suaves en el cabello de Tyrion, haciéndolo parecer más brillante y sedoso, y en los detalles de la piel, para resaltar la textura y el lujo del material. Los brillos también se colocaron estratégicamente en los ojos, aportándoles un destello que captura su perspicacia y determinación.
Este proceso, desde el boceto inicial hasta los toques finales de brillo, me permitió transformar una idea en una obra que combina lo mejor del estilo anime con la poderosa presencia de Tyrion Lannister. Cada etapa del dibujo fue una oportunidad para explorar y experimentar, y estoy muy contenta con el resultado final.
