Conociendo al gran compositor "Pierre Rode"

in GEMS3 years ago

Hello everyone, how are you? I had time without sharing content with you, but today I would like to show you a little what I was preparing and studying these days.

It is the caprice number 8 of Pierre Rode, he was a Frenchman, violinist and composer very prominent in the classical world, who was born in 1774 and died in 1830.

It is important to know a little about who Rode was, and why he is so important for study and advancement in the violin. He was a precocious musician, since at the age of 12 he was already a great outstanding violinist.

And approximately in the year 1787 he moved to Paris where he was a student of Fauvel and later of Giovanni Viotti, two very prominent great masters, and during that time Viotti made him debut in public for the first time.

A couple of years later, he traveled to Europe to make his art known and years later he returned to Paris, being appointed soloist at the Opera and professor at the conservatory. And in time he became the solo violinist of the First Consul's music.

And in 1803 he published in collaboration with Pierre Baillot and Rodolphe Kreutzer the Conservatory Violin Method.

In this video, I interpret the caprice number 8 of his greatest creation for the violin world, which is the book of his 24 caprices that are fundamental for the growth in the instrument, since it teaches you several tools to improve the technique and keep moving forward.

It should be noted that although his whims are not as famous as Paganini's, they are just as important and very interesting both to interpret and to listen to.

I hope you like my little video, and it would be helpful to share it and for all of us to know a little about this great composer.

A hug to all
