Ubuntu MATE 20.10 (Groovy Gorilla)
With the usual precision to which we are accustomed Canonical has released not only the official version of Ubuntu 20.20 "Groovy Gorilla" but also, simultaneously, all the official flavors.

As in the case of the main distro, the other distributions do not present too many changes, taking into account that these are generally verified in the LTS versions.

The intermediate versions are adjusting details, incorporating new versions of updated pre-existing software and modifying some libraries. In other words, they are testing modifications and changes that they will then apply, if they do not present too many problems, in the long-term version.

The following is the detail of the released distributions, the release notes and the link of the official download. In this case Ubuntu MATE.

Con la precisión habitual a que nos tiene acostumbrados Canonical ha liberado no solo la versión oficial de Ubuntu 20.20 "Groovy Gorilla" sino también, en forma simultánea, todos los sabores oficiales.

Como en el caso de la distro principal las restantes distribuciones no presentan demasiados cambios teniendo en cuenta que éstos se verifican, generalmente, en las versiones LTS.

Las versiones intermedias van ajustando detalles, incorporando nuevas versiones de software preexistente actualizado y modificando algunas bibliotecas. En otras palabras, van testeando modificaciones y cambios que luego aplicarán, si no presentan demasiados problemas, en la versión a largo término.

Main changes in Ubuntu MATE 20.10 "Groovy Gorilla".

• Cheese replacement with Webcamoid as the default webcam tool.
  Ubuntu MATE 20.10 is the first version to include Ayatana indicators.
• Change from Slick Greeter to Arctica Greeter (both forks of Unity Greeter)
• Arctica Greeter fully integrates with Ayatana Indicators; so now there is a consistent indicator experience in the desktop and welcome environment.
• Linux kernel 5.8. This includes numerous updates and additional support since the Linux 5.4 kernel released on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS.
• Along with MATE Desktop 1.24.1 and Linux 5.8 are Firefox 81, LibreOffice 7.0.2, Evolution 3.38, and Celluloid 0.18.

• Ubuntu MATE 20.10 es la primera versión que incluye indicadores Ayatana.
• Cambio de Slick Greeter a Arctica Greeter (ambas bifurcaciones de Unity Greeter)
• Arctica Greeter se integra completamente con Ayatana Indicators; por lo que ahora hay una experiencia de indicador consistente en el escritorio y el entorno de bienvenida.
• Kernel de Linux 5.8. Esto incluye numerosas actualizaciones y soporte adicional desde el kernel de Linux 5.4 lanzado en Ubuntu 20.04 LTS.
• Junto con MATE Desktop 1.24.1 y Linux 5.8 se encuentran Firefox 81 , LibreOffice 7.0.2 , Evolution 3.38 y Celluloid 0.18 .
