Hola Splinterland Players!

I hope you all are doing good and enjoying Splinterlands!

Well, If I take the last 2 weeks into count, a lot of things happened lately on splinterlands. The major one is about the migration of Splinterlands from steem to hive blockchain. I am really happy to have my favourite game on my favourite blockchain.
The next good thing that happened to me was getting my hands on a ts Splinterlands account. TS accounts are similar as of heron accounts where players can get good decks to play with and both the owner and the player distribute the earning within themselves. Luckily, I applied and got a gold max deck from @reazuliqbal. The deck is great containing multiple good cards and also death legendary summoner Crypt Mancer. It also contains some lucrative untamed version cards with which I never played before. I am really happy getting this account and practising hard to get used to with those cards. I think it has enough cards to perform well in the tournaments up to gold level. Wish me luck.

Now comes the bad news. The famous heron service has stopped working and officially closed its service along with the ottermaker as announced by @felipejoys. Heron was well known among Splinterlands players and not only it provided us with the platform to earn by playing big accounts or rent your good account for a passive income. A good number of players and owners were very much dependant on that system So did I. I used to play with a max beta collection from @netaterra but as the service is closed, we have decided to run it manually by our own. But we could really use a service like it.

Now, let me come to my track as today is about the last summoner in our list, he Dragons! If you are my daily reader, you must have already read my summoner posts about Fire, Earth, Water, Life and Death. Now it's time to reveal the power of dragons!

After the release of the untamed series, there are now 8 different types of Dragon summoners! They are all equipped with great powers and also the key for using dragon category monsters in your battle!

Still now, dragon cards rule over the market for their Sky high prices. As you can see below, this is just a glance of how valuable they are and how far people can go to achieve at least one of those. I personally know a gold collector, @shoemanchu who is just mad about gold cards and building his own gold max deck! Believe me, he is really working great after his collection, his pack purchase history can make anyone get fainted.

But for me, I just have a max Selenia and Daria and I am more than proud of having them. Not long ago, (just some days before the Hive migration) I bought a max Alpha Selenia from the market at 170$! The seller was @themarkymark as far I remember and the current one max listed at market id priced at 187.55$.

Selenia is an exceptional card and I must admit, I just overused her in any possible way. Range decks are my favourite and whenever I get chance, I tend to choose Selenia deck over any other. It's not that I love Daria, I use her often for melee matches as I think Manticore is a great card for mini mana matches but my first choice is and always will be Selenia!

Anyways, today I am going to play with my own account @mango-juice. Today, I will try to showcase the power of Selenia. I have a decent collection of ranged cards, especially from water and earth collection. So most probably I will choose any one of them to use my Selenia with.

So, without further ado, let us jump into my Dragon collection...

Yeah, as you can see my dragon collection is not that good but when I use dragon summoners with any of the normal splinters, I get a lot of options to choose from. As I said, I mostly choose water and earth splinter, but sometimes life and fire splinter too depending on the ruleset and the mana count.

Ruleset: Fog Of War (All monsters loose sneak and snipe ability)

Mana count: 15

Active Summoners: All Summoners allowed.

In this match my opponent was @abacam and He is a champion Slayer, no doubt. It was 15 mana micro match and all the summoners were allowed so it's definitely a complex thing which summoner my opponent will use. Under 15 mana most os us will choose melee sneak decks or range decks and you cant place more than 1 good magic monster in a 15 mana ruleset. As it is a Fog War ruleset, so sneak can not be used so I should choose Selenia this time.

I could go with Daria by placing a big monster at the front and followed by a good reach card But I thought my rangers will do better than that.

Fog of War I consider Fog of War ability a perfect fit for range attacks at this mini mana cap. With this ruleset, my range monsters won't get affected and if I can manage 3 range monsters in my deck, I may win this one! Also, I have to keep in mind to defend my front position so that It can bear damages at least 3 rounds before getting down.

With 15 mana limit, after choosing the Selenia for 3 mana, I am left with 12 mana and I think that is enough to build a good range deck. I will choose water splinter as it has some cool low mana range cards to fill my line up.

Battle Line-up

Spineback Turtle

I chose Furious the turtle in the first place so that it would consume a few good attacks from my opponent. Since its a Fog war, all the enemy monsters will attack my turtle first so I chose his large health + shield to protect my front defence.

Furious Chicken

I chose Furious Chicken in the second last place so that it would consume one of my enemy attacks.

Highland Archer

I chose Highland archer in the third place. I have a level 8 and has 5 health which can protect my middle if my turtle gets down fast. He will attack +3 range upon enemies at 4 speed which is a good deal I think.

Crustacean King

I chose the king in the fourth place. I have only a level 6 but I use him a lot of time cause of it's Shield and healing ability. Moreover, with the help of Selenia, it will shoot +2 range attacks also.

Pirate Archer

I chose the king in the last place. I have a level 7 and it has +2 range blast attack so with the help of Selenia it will lunch +3 devastating Blast attacks on the opponent.

Battle Result

Well, it was quite an unpredictable match and I really am lucky to win the match. My opponent also chose Selenia but I think his Sea monster got blocked by my Turtle. My range monsters have done a tremendous job... and helped me win the match.

• At the first round, my pirate lunched the blast attack and broke the shield sea monster. then highland archer fires the arrow to him, but it healed itself out to full then attacked the turtle. But the turtle damaged him back with throne ability causing -2 HP. Now it was turtle's turn and he gave 2 damage to the sea monster. The king of the opponent healed the sea monster and launched a +3 attack on my Turtle. But my turtle still got alive and healed up by my king. At last, my king fires a +2 arrow attack on the sea monster, leaving it with 10 HP at the end of the first round.

• At the second round, My Pirate launched a deadly +3 ranged blast attack again on sea monster and also broke down the armour of the king. Next was my highlander's turn and it gave an attack of +3 range. But, the sea monster healed it up against and attacked my turtle leaving only 1 health behind. The turtle throne it back and also lunch a melee attack ob it leaving 4 HP but the sea monster then killed my turtle with the throne ability. Later, the opponent's king healed up the sea monster again to 8 HP. I was getting worried after seeing this. Will my deck survive now? Well, lastly, both of the kings attacked and nothing special happened.

• Again at the third round, my chicken launched the first attack but missed, but it was for good or it would have died by the throne ability. My highland archer was next in line and it heroically killed down the sea monster with its sharp arrows! The only monster that left was the poor king who also got down by my Pirate at level 4.

It was really an awesome battle. The opponent had a good chance of winning cause of his max seas monster and Crustacean King but my archers really have a done a great job here.

Selenia Sky is unbeatable even with low mana cards as those low mana cards itself becomes really good with increased ranged attack.

I like my Daria, but don't use it very much unless that's my quest. I would say my favorite Dragon Monster is my Manticore. It goes so well with Daria.

I lean towards Selenia as my favorite too. Maybe cause it's only 3 mana... but then, why don't I use Camila more???? I don't know! Tell me why I do the things I do!!!

I Don't own one Dragon Summoner but rented one lvl 3. Your article is so good and i like it Very much. Thumps up.
Selina Sky is very good as well but not tried that one too. Need to give a try.

i like the dragon splinter, but my deck is weak. i really like selenia, but i don't have her yet. my favorite card that i do have is probably daria, but i get smacked with her a lot :)
