Saludos a toda la comunidad Hive. Hoy les quiero dar a conocer lo interesante de un fruto rico en vitaminas y minerales, así como también con muchas propiedades medicinales como lo es "La Pitanga".

Para comenzar les cuento que ayer fui con mi hija @keritroberts al médico urólogo por segunda vez a llevarle el resultado de los exámenes y cerca de la clínica me encontré con esta hermosa planta que me llamo mucho la atención por sus bellos frutos. Sin pensarlo dos veces aproveche de tomarme unas fotografías y también no me podía quedar con la duda que fruto era ´porque no lo conocía y como siempre hice uso la aplicación Google Lens, que pueden encontrar en la Play Store en Android. Aquí les dejo los captures de mi búsqueda:

La pitanga es un árbol pequeño cuyos frutos son comestibles y muy nutritivos, tiene un color verde luego van cambiando a medida que se maduran tomando un color amarillo, naranja hasta llegar a su color rojo. La piel que recubre la fruta es ácida y la pulpa es dulce, en su interior contiene una a dos semillas. Sus flores son blancas de hojas verdes y cuando es la temporada de invierno se tornan rojizas.

Se puede consumir la fruta del árbol directamente y también se elaboran dulces, mermelada, ensaladas, jugos, licor. Se utiliza en la cosmética y también se puede cultivar como árbol Bonsai.

Este fruto nutritivo contiene vitamina C, A, fosforo, hierro, cobre, calcio, fibra, los cuales son importantes y de gran beneficio para mantener una buena salud. Es una fruta muy hidratante.
Sus hojas también cuentan con muchas propiedades , sirven como repelente de insectos, se utilizan en infusión y es un buen digestivo.
