My wife asked me to join her to get a package sent to her from the city. It was nice to get out of the house for a bit. The package was delivered to a supermarket. While she was out to get the package I took some pictures.
I wasn't aware that there was a bike lane here.
Notice the ski jump in the distance in this photo.
While driving home my wife suggested that we drive to a cafe at the harbor.
One of the largest secondary schools in the city
One of the cafes is on the left. This place is quite busy in the summer.
Yet another one
This is Kahvila Kariranta. It's a former railway station. It was built in 1869 when the Helsinki - St. Petersburg railway construction had advanced from Riihimäki to Lahti. The place was recently renovated. Notice how some patrons were so hardcore that they decided to have their coffee outdoors.
My coffee and cinnamon roll. We arrived 20 minutes before closing time. There were no other cinnamon rolls left. I didn't want cake so I took that.
This is part of the interior. I guess this room was one of the waiting rooms. I'm not sure, though.
I have no idea how old that telephone is.
Dramatic sky
Sibelius Hall on the left. It's the new concert hall built in 2006.
