This is the old bus station of Lahti. It was built in 1939 and represents functionalism. The new bus station was built right next to the railway station in 2016 over 1 km away.
The restaurant is still there but there's also a new supermarket that wasn't there before.
The waiting room has no use any longer.

My lunch. Four things factor into my choice of lunch: taste, price, calories, healthiness. I wan't a reasonably healthy and tasty meal that does not leave me hungry at the lowest possible price. This is why I often buy meals sold at a discount right at the best before date.
Today's choice was dictated by taste. That particular salad is not usually available.

The Fellman manor built in 1898 and owned by captain Fellman, a veteran senator in the Grand Duchy of Finland. In the year 1903, fourteen years before independence, an important meeting took place in the manor about how the February Manifesto by the Russian emperor aimed at further dismantling Finland's autonomy would be opposed. After the civil war in 1918, a large number of prisoners were gathered in the fields nearby. This area and the garrison in Hennala were the two sites were executions took place.
