he keeps it safely tucked away
in a pocket on his huge belly.
The mouse runs into a dog,
and the dog asks him for the cookie,
but the mouse, without mercy,
tells him he wants a trade instead.
El perro se marcha a buscar,
algo por lo que la pueda cambiar,

confiado en que el ratón aceptará.
Pero el ratón no quiere comida,

The dog sets off in search of
something he can trade for it,
and brings the mouse a piece of bread,
confident that the mouse will accept it.
But the mouse doesn't want food—
there's plenty of that in its den.
The dog is looking for something useful
to make the trade work effectively.
