En un pequeño cajón
un copo de avena vivía sin preocupación
y cuando salía de su habitación,
es porque planeaba algo sin control.
Esta vez se fue a bañar,
en un desagüe que cerca está,
se sumergió con afán
y emparamada salió del lugar.
In a small drawer
an oat flake lived without worry
and when she left her room,

in a nearby drain,

Regresó a casa emparamada
y una roca llevaba ilusionada,
era grande y con fuerza la arrastraba
y sobre ella dejó una hoja disecada.
El agua que tenía encima, se quitó
y sobre la hoja seca la dejó,
la avena quería en esta ocasión,
resucitar al ser verde que ya murió.
She returned home
and carried a rock with illusion,

El tiempo pasó
y la hoja jamás resucitó,

The oat flake was thrilled
and invited the fungus to its home,
both went into the drawer
and I never saw them again.
