Se me dañó el auto,
tube que empujarlo
y cuando frente a un árbol iba pasando
observé algo extraño.
Era una gota de agua,
mágica, porque no se evaporaba,
la tomé de forma apresurada
y la llevé a la casa.

Sobre el sofá la dejé bien puesta,
sin miedo a que lo humedeciera
busqué un libro que tenía en la mesa
y en voz alta leí sin pereza.
Quería que la gota escuchara,
que se sintiera amena en la casa
y mientras más páginas pasaba,
la gota más y más se multiplicaba.
I placed it carefully on the sofa,

I looked for a book I had on the table
and read aloud without hesitation.
I wanted the drop to listen,
to feel comfortable in the house,
and the more pages I turned,
the more the drop multiplied.
Cuando de todo esto me percaté,
entendí que aquí no se sentía bien,
este hogar para una gota no es
y un gran recipiente busqué.
Poco a poco fui poniendo el agua
con cuidado, para no regarla
y cuando toda estaba guardada,
me marché en el auto que no andaba.
When I realized all this,
I understood that it didn't feel right here,
this home is not for a drop,
and I looked for a large container.
Little by little, I poured the water in

Regresé donde la encontré
y el arbol seco encontré,
el agua al lado de este dejé
y empezó a vivir otra vez.

el árbol floreció de forma fantástica,
agradeció que le regresé su agua,
una gota que no se evapora con nada.
I returned to where I found it
and found the dry tree,
I left the water next to it
and it began to live again.
And as I drove away in my damaged car,
the tree blossomed fantastically,
thankful that I had brought it
