Una roca se contonea
y algo se ve tras ella,
solo un ojo lleva
es un ser de clara apariencia.
Empieza a caminar
hasta un tronco que cerca hay,
en este se sube con afán
y ahí se queda a observar.
A rock wiggles
and something can be seen behind it,
it has only one eye
it is a being of clear appearance.
It begins to walk
towards a nearby tree trunk,
it climbs up eagerly
and stays there to observe.
Sobre el tronco camina contento
hasta que resbala y cae al suelo
el golpe lo aplana un momento
pero se levanta y se va sin miedo.
Frente a una roca se para
y comienza a escalarla,
llega rápido a la zona alta,
donde observa todo con calma.
It walks happily along the trunk
until it slips and falls to the ground.

and begins to climb it,

Comienza a moverse de forma extraña
y poco a poco se alarga,
le salen algunas patas
y una cola bastante amplia.
Se transforma en un caimán
y le pide al sol que baje ya,
para poderse abrigar
y así poder su cuerpo broncear.

and gradually lengthens,
growing some legs
and a rather broad tail.
It transforms into an alligator
and asks the sun to come down,
so it can warm itself
and tan its body.
