Una zarigüeya poco caminaba,
por la edad le dolían sus patas,
por eso un bastón llevaba
y en este siempre se apoyaba.
Un día encuentra una calabaza
y con el bastón intenta despertarla,
pero esta no siente nada
y el marsupial con cuidado la arrastra.
A little opossum was walking,
his legs hurt because of his age,
so he carried a cane
and always leaned on it.
One day he found a pumpkin
and tried to wake it up with his cane,
but it didn't feel anything,
so the marsupial carefully dragged it away.
La lleva hasta su guarida,
donde guarda todo lo que recicla,
ahí tiene unas llantas finas
que en la calabaza sin problema ubica.
Ahora la calabaza sirve como carruaje
y el marsupial se trepa con afanes,
en un inicio de un lado a otro cae
hasta que por fin logra estabilizarse.
