Una zarigüeya fantasma / A ghost possum

Sobre la banca camina,
una zarigüeya bonita,
va de un lado a otro lado,
no cae del sitio elevado.

El fantasma llega
y a un lado se sienta,
entonces, la zarigüeya,
molesta se aleja.

The ghost arrives and sits on one side, then, the possum, annoyed, walks away.

Regresa el marsupial,
bajo una sábana va,
pretende asustar,
con su atuendo fantasmal.

The marsupial returns, under a sheet he goes, he pretends to frighten, with its ghostly attire.

El fantasma al verlo,
no se asusta en ningún momento,
llevan el mismo aspecto,
es solo más pequeño.

The ghost, upon seeing it, is not frightened at any time, they look the same, it is just smaller.

Y cuando el fantasma se va,
toma la zarigúeya que escondida está,
encontró la mascota ideal,
un ser espectral,
que ternura da.
