Hello friends, today there is no recipe, but I will tell you about the best food that can exist. From 1 to 7 August is World Breastfeeding Week, the theme selected for 2020 is "Supporting Breastfeeding for a Healthier Planet".
Breast milk is considered the best infant food that exists, it contains all the necessary nutrients for the correct development of the newborn, it is recommended to feed the baby in the first hour of life, the infant should only receive breast milk, it is not necessary to give water, it should be on free demand, kettles should not be used, these are basic recommendations of the WHO to initiate this path of exclusive breastfeeding.
But ok, we know all the good things about breastfeeding, but what happens when, we feel no milk coming out, when our baby doesn't want to grab the teat, when he cries inconsolably when he can't get our milk out?
We are invaded by despair, coupled with this we are often surrounded by people who also ignore much about the subject, and the first thing they tell you is that you should buy formula, because the baby will "starve" because "you do not give milk.
And when you finally manage to see that milk comes out, that the baby grabs the tit, the opinion makers come again, "but don't give him so much tit you'll get him used to it, give him every 4 hours, every 2..."
How do you get out of all this? with knowledge and empathy, many times those people we have around us do not act in bad faith, they only speak from their ignorance, they want to help, but it turns out that thanks to science, to the advances it offers us today we know that breast milk is the only food necessary for a baby from 0 to 6 months, breast milk should be given on demand, that is when the baby asks for it.
In spite of the thousand doubts, to the pressures of my friends and relatives, I managed to feed my daughter only with maternal milk, during her first 6 months of life, I did not yield to the doubts, the fears... for it it was necessary the constant consultation the pediatrician, for that reason I recommend them to read a lot in reliable sources as WHO, to look for a pediatrician who supports the exclusive maternal breastfeeding. Remember that only a professional can tell you in which cases this type of feeding is not recommended. Therefore from the knowledge as mothers we have the opportunity to choose the type of feeding that we will give to our children.

The above photos are of "my little camel" as my friends called her because she was not given water, pure breast milk on demand, which has a high protein content, sufficient to meet the needs of the infant, and also contains colostrum rich in nutrients, antibodies, which helps strengthen the immune system of newborns by preventing viruses and infections.
