Nature has surprising details even in what seems common, to find them we only have to observe them. For example these flowers show several colors on their petals, which rise to the sky. Fascinating display of pink hues.

[La naturaleza tiene detalles sorprendentes aun en lo que parece común, para hallarlos sólo debemos observar. Por ejemplo estas flores muestran varios colores en sus pétalos, que se elevan hacia el cielo. Fascinante despliegue de tonalidades rosas.]

The petals of this group concentrated greater pink intensity on the tip and base. They look like buttons opening. But soon we'll see that's not the case.

[Los pétalos de este grupo concentran mayor intensidad de color rosa en la punta y en la base. Parecen botones abriéndose. Pero pronto veremos que no es así.]

group in the same gardener (center of the city of Reus), presents petals that almost reach white at their ends. The flowers are supported by peduncles of intense color, it could be said brown-purple and point to the sky.

[Otro grupito en la misma jardinera (centro de la ciudad de Reus), presenta pétalos que casi llegan a blanco en sus extremos. Las flores están sostenidas por un pedúnculos de color intenso, podría decirse marrón-morado y apuntan al cielo.

In this shot I wanted to highlight the buttons, they look like little umbrellas. We can see the peduncles curve to allow the buttons to grow anchored in their chalice, hanging from them. They look very cute with their pastel color.

[[En esta toma quise destacar los botones, parecen pequeños paraguas. Podemos ver como los pedúnculos se curvan para permitir que los botones crezcan anclados en su cáliz, colgando de ellos. Se ven muy lindos con su color pastel.]

In this shot we see that appearances deceive. The center of the flower is upside down, looking towards the ground, as the petals curve to turn towards the sky, hiding the chalice and leaving pollen, stamens and pistils exposed; but it's an exhibition that's not revealed to the naked eye.

I thank my assistant (my friend from Reus) for gently holding the flower to achieve this catch. I wouldn't have made it without help.


[En esta toma comprobamos que las apariencias engañan. El centro de la flor está al revés, mirando hacia el suelo, mientras los pétalos se curvan para girar hacia el cielo, escondiendo el cáliz y dejando expuestos polen, estambres y pistilos; pero es una exposición que no se revela a simple vista.

Agradezco a mi ayudante (mi amiga de Reus) por haber sujetado delicadamente la flor para lograr esta captura. No lo hubiese logrado sin ayuda.]

I tried to capture the heart of a flower looking for the sky, it is the darkest part of these flowers. I have a lot to do research on them, but there hasn't been time to ask. My friend doesn't know her name. They were sown recently (well, not so recently, about three weeks before quarantine) and could be seen everywhere, decorating the center of Reus.

[Aquí intenté capturar el corazón de una flor que busca el cielo, es la parte más oscura de estas flores. Tengo mucho que investigar sobre ellas, pero no ha habido tiempo para preguntar. Mi amiga no sabe su nombre. Las sembraron hace poco (bueno, no tan poco, unas tres semanas antes de la cuarentena) y podían verse en todas partes, decorando el centro de Reus.]

I took this photograph in Tarragona, in the planters that line the parking lot of a shopping center. As you can see they are the same flowers, but intense red. The leaves in two shades of green, are also beautiful and accentuate the color of the flowers.

When I took the photograph I did not realize the peculiarity of these flowers and I missed the opportunity to ask. Now, I have to wait for him to pass quarantine.

[[Esta fotografía la tomé en Tarragona, en las jardineras que bordean el estacionamiento de un centro comercial. Como ven son las mismas flores, pero de intenso color rojo. Las hojas en dos tonos de verde, también son bonitas y acentúan el color de las flores.

Cuando tomé la fotografía no me di cuenta de la peculiaridad de estas flores y perdí la oportunidad de preguntar. Ahora, debo esperar a que pasee la cuarentena.]

Beautiful flowers you are showing here ^^ Its nice to see how they are pointing up and down together ;) .. But to be honest, petals that are pointing to the sky to this huge degree are quite unusual, but an amazing sight ^^
