RE: Ideas to get some smaller Hive projects funded

in GEMSlast month

We'd be happy to support smaller projects with votes or even have POSH assist with funding if others deem the use of the reward pool acceptable towards that.

The main thing that is important, in my opinion, is that the costs aren't crazy, i.e. a dev asking for ludicrious amounts (this is of course subjective but you can imagine how small the rewards pool is these days), and that the things are open-source and benefit hive as a whole, not just a small group of layer 2 token holders, etc.

Like the curation tool you mentioned here for instance, or @meno's app for short form content.

It'd also be important that through these posts the logs would be transparent and efforts made to show the costs being transparent to users we can vet are unique/real. While we understand not everything can be fully transparent, for instance when you have to pay an outside dev for something no one on hive is able to develop/create but is essential to the idea, we can't force those people to create hive accounts to receive payments.

Either way, ocd would be happy to help if our voting power allows for it and in this case I think even making exception that posts can be automated/low effort as long as the rewards are used to fund something that benefits all hive stakeholders "equally".
