Hello Hivers 💖 this morning i will be sharing with you my latest design, how I made this lovely dress using Irish material and I will be showing you the process and details.

MATERIALS USED

  • Fabric (Irish)
  • Hair stay
  • Collar stay
  • Thread

MEASURING AND CUTTING PROCESS

The measurements used for this dress is; shoulder 20, chest 49, length 40, sleeve 25 and neck 17. After these has been gotten then u proceed to cutting of the fabrics.

SEWING PROCESS

what I did first is folding the allowances added to the length and sew, then I did a zigzag design at the front making use of the same fabrics.
In making the zigzag, I cut the fabric 9inches by 75inches, I applied hairspray stay then I sew half inch to give me 4 inches when turned, then I ironed, placed it on the fabrics how I want it to be then I gum using hemming gum and sew thereafter.

Then I joined the shoulder, leaving one for zip then tape it.

Then I fixed the zip, the placket, joined the sleeve and the curve.
