We feel the Turkish culture more especially in Central Asia, the Balkans and Anatolia. When we look at today, we still maintain many traditions, customs and behavior patterns that we have taken from the Seljuks and Ottomans in some of our regions. Turkish culture, which also interacts with Islamic culture, has spread to a very rich geography.

Türk Kültürünü, özellikle Orta Asya , Balkanlar ve Anadolu' da daha çok hissederiz. Günümüze baktığımızda Selçuklulardan ve Osmanlılardan almış olduğumuz bir çok gelenek, örf adet ve davranış biçimlerini bazı yörelerimizde hala devam ettirmekteyiz. İslam kültürü ile de etkileşimde olan Türk kültürü çok zengin bir coğrafyaya yayılmıştır.

Especially in Anatolia and Southeastern Anatolia, the names of grandfathers are given to the names of their grandchildren. The Turks have conquered many lands throughout history and have continued their existence for many years in the region called Eurasia. After the Battle of Manzikert in 1071, the Turks settled in Anatolia and made it their homeland.
Özellikle Anadolu ve Güneydoğu Anadolu bölgesinde dede adları torunlarının isimlerine verilir. Türkler tarih boyunca bir çok toprakları fethetmiş olup, Avrasya denilen bölgede uzun yıllar varlıklarını sürdürmüşlerdir. 1071 Malazgirt Savaşından sonra da Türkler Anadolu'da tamamen yerleşerek burayı yurt edinmişlerdir.

Ottoman houses are valuable structures that everyone wants to see. It is possible to come across such houses in Antalya, especially in Kaleici district. I am very curious about which stoves the smoke from the chimneys of these houses, which has included the whole history of the time, sheltered. The views of the people living in that period towards life, their way of life were also reflected in their art and architecture. When we look at the shapes of the houses, the two or three storey wooden or adobe brick-built houses are breathing structures between the streets.

Evlerin şekillerine baktığımızda, iki veya üç katlı ahşap ya da kerpiçten yapılan tuğla ile örülmüş sıvalı evler, sokak aralarında nefes alan yapılardır.

The reason why these houses are so many in the Castle is that the Ottomans and Byzantines lived in these regions for many years. One of the intersection points of historical houses, those narrow streets of Kaleiçi create a pinch of history for people who pass by. Antalya, which was in the hands of the Romans for many years, showed a great development after it was captured by the Turks. These Kaleiçi houses, which smell of history with their unique architecture, attract the attention of both domestic and foreign tourists.
Bu evlerin Kale içinde çok fazla olmasının sebebi ise, Osmanlı ve Bizanslıların bu bölgelerde uzun yıllar yaşamış olmasıdır. Tarihi evlerin kesişim noktalarından biri olan Kaleiçinin, o daracık sokakları her geçen insanlara bir tutam tarih anısı yaratır. Uzun yıllar Romalıların elinde bulunan Antalya Türklerin eline geçtikten sonra büyük bir gelişme göstermiştir. Kendine özgü mimarisiyle tarih kokan bu Kale içi evleri, hem yerli turistlerin hem de yabancı turistlerin ilgisini çekmektedir.

These houses, made of colored wood and stones, have now turned into businesses that run hotels, restaurants, leather clothing, souvenirs and jewelery shops. We can see that these houses, which we encounter at the beginning of every street, are made of wooden materials, both with their architecture and visual beauty.
Renkli ahşap ve taşlardan yapılan bu evler şimdilerde otel, restoran, deri giyim, hediyelik eşya ve kuyum dükkanı işleten işletmelere dönüşmüş durumundadır. Her sokağın başında karşımıza çıkan bu evler hem mimarisiyle hem de görsel güzelliğiyle ahşap malzemelerden yapıldığını görebiliyoruz.

Another feature of the houses in Kaleiçi is that these two-storey houses have more windows on the second floor. You can notice bricks and concrete placed horizontally inside the walls to artificially distribute the weight, to prevent cracks in the walls. It is also striking that the structures are built from masonry stones or by connecting tree connections to each other. All facades of the houses face the street or the garden. There are not many windows on the street facing facade of the house. On the upper floors, as I just said, the number of windows is too many and you can see that there are some protrusions towards the street.
Kale içi evlerinin bir özelliği de iki katlı olan bu evlerin ikinci katında pencerelerin fazla olmasıdır. Ağırlığı yapay bir şekilde dağıtmak amacıyla, duvarlardaki çatlakları önlemek amacıyla, duvarların içine yatay olarak konulmuş tuğlaları ve betonları fark edebiliyorsunuz. Yapıların yığma taşlardan veya ağaç bağlantılarının birbirine bağlanarak inşa edilmesi de göze çarpıyor. Evlerin Her cephesi sokağa veya bahçeye bakıyor. Evin sokak gören cephesinde fazla pencere bulunmuyor. Üst katlar da ise az önce söylediğim gibi pencere sayısı çok fazla ve sokağa doğru bazı çıkıntıların olduğunu görebilirsiniz.
