Hello community, this week we have another Social Media Challenge available that is part of the Splinterlands game, I have participated in the challenges and for this week's challenge I chose GRUM FLAMEBADE which is a card that I really appreciate and should be appreciated by many players, for its design and its skills that make it an excellent card, but not invincible, you have to be careful and I'll talk about that later.

GRUM has impressive attributes as you can see in the image, only stinging for its speed, but it must be borne in mind that GRUM has the same ability as the Gladius cards, that is, Bloodlust ability, which makes him increase all his attributes whenever he kills a monster from the opponent's team, which makes it unique in that aspect, being the only card with this ability allowed to play in ranked battles.

In addition, at the initial level it has Void Armor (magical attacks hit armor), at the next level it adds Void ability (reduces damage from magic attacks) and at level 3 it gets Giant Killer ability (deals double damage to monsters that cost more than 10 mana including). being with that a very strong card that can cause a lot of damage to the opposing team.

However, despite being a beast on the battlefield, it is not invincible and alone may not be able to win a battle, because it is useless to have a lot of attack strength if you always have to hit the armor, and with that you easily lose a battle. That is, if the opponent uses a monster as a tank with armor and uses a monster with Repair skill, GRUM cannot damage the opponent, because the attack he makes hits the armor and when he attacks again, he will have armor in front of him again and so on. easily lose the battle.
That's why it's necessary to think carefully when you can use GRUM and have monsters that help GRUM to use his abilities and with that increase his attributes.

However, we can also prevent this from happening, in which there is a summoner that helps a lot to overcome this infinite armor barrier, QID YUFF in which it gives all monsters Piercing ability and so GRUM not only deals armor damage, but also hits the points of life and is a great opportunity to change the course of the battle.

With this set of rules where we had little mana available and with Reverse Speed, there was an opportunity to use GRUM where it would be one of the first to start the battle, in addition to having little mana there was a chance that the opponent would choose monsters with low health points and so GRUM was more likely to use his Bloodlust skill.

For this battle being GRUM a Splinter Fire card, I could use PYRE and TARSA, the summoners given by the game, perfect would be QID YUFF but I don't have that card available nor had it rented so I had to play with what I had available.
With the rules of the battle it was not useful to use PYRE because we didn't intend to increase the speed when the rules dictate Reverse Speed, so I had TARSA as an option, but fearing that the opponent would choose monsters with Sneak or Opportunity skill, I could leave GRUM to fight alone on the second round and thus be the target of all attacks.
To prevent this I chose DRAKE OF ARNAK to give +1 armor to my monsters and thus a greater probability that besides GRUM they will be alive in the 2nd round of the battle.

Despite using up most of the available Mana for the battle, I chose GRUM as a tank due to its abilities considering applying Bloodlust and increasing its attributes.

To help GRUM I chose RADIATED BRUTE having Reach ability it can attack from 2nd position, and with 2 Melee attack it can destroy the opponent's tank monster's armor or take life points to the monster and thus makes it easier for GRUM to apply Bloodlust

Having only 1 more mana point available, I chose CHAOS AGENT for the end of the battlefield, being a card without attacks, before my set of cards,
CHAOS AGENT would be something of Sneak, Opportunity and Snipe attacks, thus allowing my remaining monsters to not suffer secondary attacks.

My opponent chose monsters on average with low health with the exception of MYCELIC, and Magic attack monsters that attack all the front line so my secondary lines are protected from attacks.
As a tank, he used FAILED SUMMONER with 4 Health points without an attack type but with Magic Reflect ability, which had no effect because I didn't choose magic monsters.

Having 4 Health points and as my attack monsters always attack the front line, whether GRUM made the first attack or the second attack, it would destroy the opponent's tank, and in the first round apply Bloodlust skill, and thus increase its attributes.
The opponent had monsters with good Magic attack due to the summoner giving +1 Magic attack to all monsters and with that it does 7 total damage to my GRUM per round, as much damage as I do to the opponent per round.

Even though we do the same damage, my monsters attack first, and WOOD NYMPH can only heal the tank for 3 health, what makes the difference in battle is that I can attack first, and thus deal 7 damage to the opponent's monster first , before he can be cured.

Starting the 3rd round, the opponent's tank has 6 Health points while GRUM has 4 Health points, but if I attack first I will do 7 damage and with that GRUM will be able to apply Bloodlust again, increasing his attributes and consequently winning the battle because the opponent's other monsters have low life points and GRUM will be able to finish the battle by applying Bloodlust again.

The battle ends after 4 rounds and GRUM manages to apply 3x Bloodlust in the battle ending the battle very strong with 7 attack.
My strategy for this battle worked considering the Reverse Speed ​​ruleset that allowed my Melee attack monsters to attack before the opponent's Magic attacks, otherwise I wouldn't have won the battle.

So even though GRUM is an excellent card, it's necessary to take into account when we can use it and when we shouldn't use it to make a difference in the course of the battle.
In this case it's a good way to use GRUM in battles.
