¿Alguna vez se han preguntado POR QUÉ?
Seguro que sí. Todos, en algún momento de la vida nos preguntamos por qué nos sucede esto o aquello, o por qué alguien nos trató de cierta manera.
Las distintas situaciones, más que todo, las adversas, nos llevan a esa pregunta y en la mayor parte de los casos actuamos dependiendo de la respuesta que le otorguemos.
¿Qué significa POR QUÉ?
El porqué de algo habla de CAUSA, lo que nos lleva a notar que ese algo fue producido por una razón o por algún tipo de estímulo.
Un ejemplo:
Si nos preguntáramos ¿Por qué buscamos empleo?Muchos contestaríamos:
Porque tengo demasiadas deudas que pagar.Nuestras acciones se convierten en reacciones después de todo.
¿Pero si cambiamos la formulación de la pregunta y decimos PARA QUÉ?
Claro que ya me llevas el paso y sabes a donde me dirijo. Cuando preguntamos para qué, no nos referimos a actitudes causadas, sino a actitudes llenas de PROPOSITO. Cuando lo que hacemos no es motivado por el pasado, sino que en su lugar es motivado por algo que queremos alcanzar en nuestro futuro.
Coloquemos el mismo ejemplo:
Si nos preguntamos ¿Para qué buscamos empleo?Contestaríamos:
Para no tener la necesidad de tener deudas y poder suplir cada necesidad que pueda presentársenos.¿Ves la diferencia?
Cuando nuestra vida se llena de porqué, entonces nos acostumbramos a que nuestras actitudes estén condicionadas por las situaciones y estímulos ajenos a nuestra persona, dejándonos llevar por estos en cualquier dirección incierta. Pero cuando la llenamos de para qué, es allí que lo que hacemos es planificado, extraído de nuestro propósito y la dirección que ya nos hemos trazado con claridad.
Have you ever wondered WHY?
Surely yes. Everyone, at some point in life, we wonder why this or that happens to us, or why someone treated us in a certain way.
The different situations, especially the adverse ones, lead us to that question and in most cases we act depending on the answer we give it.
What does WHY mean?
The why of something speaks of CAUSE, which leads us to notice that that something was produced for a reason or some kind of stimulus.
An example:
If we asked ourselves, Why are we looking for a job?Many of us would answer:
Because I have too many debts to pay.Our actions turn into reactions after all.
But if we change the formulation of the question and say FOR WHAT?
Of course, you already take the step and you know where I am going. When we ask what for, we do not mean attitudes caused, but attitudes full of PURPOSE. When what we do is not motivated by the past, but is instead motivated by something we want to achieve in our future.
Let's put the same example:
If we ask ourselves, what are we looking for a job for?
We would answer:
In order not to have the need to have debts and to be able to meet every need that may arise.You see the difference?
When our life is filled with why, then we get used to the fact that our attitudes are conditioned by situations and stimuli outside our person, allowing us to be led by them in any uncertain direction. But when we fill it with what for, it is there that what we do is planned, drawn from our purpose and the direction that we have already clearly outlined for ourselves.
Dejemos de preguntarnos el porqué de las cosas y empecemos a preguntar para qué, para que así tomemos control de nuestro rumbo. Y si las situaciones se tornan adversas, busquemos un para qué en ellas, de seguro encontraremos algo que podamos aprender de allí.
Let's stop asking ourselves the why of things and start asking why, so that we can take control of our course.
And if situations turn adverse, let's look for a reason in them, we will surely find something that we can learn from there.
