Our adventure climbing trough the “Montaña de la Z” en Venezuela

I’m not really a fitness person, so I don’t often do physical things, but once in a while is good to shake things a little bit, confronting certain challenges.

A couple of weeks ago my girlfriend and i decide to go on a little trip with some friends, climbing up a mountain (that one of those guys already knew) to see the nice view. It’s called “La montaña la Z el chimboraso” and is located in San Cristobal, Venezuela.

That day, sadly, the weather wasn’t on our side, it was really rainy and the road felt almost imposible (again, considering the lack of physical abilities in our group), really full of mud and moisture, add that te mountain was almost vertical in certain parts, but after a couple hours, after we all fell, after a couple of rivers and 7 km up, we finished the first half of the road and we were at the top of the mountain” “the pines”. There we eat, listen to music, have fun, and took pictures. It was really an amazing, quiet and cold place.

Keep in mind that Venezuela is a generally hot place, so a temperature of 14C, more or less, plus the rain, really made everything harder. At the end, of course, it was worth it.

But there was one thing more, almost 12 kilometers behind the mountain, and a long highway to get back to the starting point, and find our way home... wet, tired,full of mud, but full of fun.
