Loved this. I hace exoerienced burn out and its hell - never want to go back. It takes a while to recover.
My husband is allegric to cats too. My chooks keep me calm. I too love nature, the ocean (surfing), yoga, meditation and gardening... they keep me sane in an insane world..through such arts i can find little portals to inner peave through movement and breath xx
Thank you so much for reading and sharing your experience. With the burnout, it took me almost a year to recover and trust myself to get back on my feet again. It's interesting to know that I am not alone in having a cat allergic husband. I had to find excuses to keep the stray cat linger around hehe.
I totally hear you - it alsmost sounds like we had the same experience.
I'm not that keen on cats, tbh - I'm a dog person! We have strays around here sniffing around and pooing in the garden which annoys me, but I do appreciate that they hunt the mice around - though I get pissed off when they kill native birds!
Yes, that's one of the things about cats, they're vicious hunters. When we moved in the house we are staying in now, there was a cat (not the same stray) who left a dead something with missing heads for us weekly. It freaked me out. Someone told me they leave them behind as presents.
