Today you cannot miss this recipe from heaven, it is the famous bread of God, it is a bread of Portuguese origin that is consumed (there in Portugal) It is a round bread of enriched and sweet dough, with the aroma of lemon and rum, topped with a coconut, sugar and egg mixture that produces a toasty layer on top and creamy underneath.
For the mass:
Ingredients:
- 450 g all-purpose flour
- 7 g (1 tablespoon) instant dry yeast
- 120 g (1/2 cup) slightly warm milk (liquid)
- 80 g (1/3 cup) of water at room temperature
- 2 eggs
- 80 g of sugar
- the zest of a lemon
1 tablespoon. Ron
1 Teaspoon vanilla extract
40g butter
1/2 teaspoon salt
For the coconut topping:
100 g of grated coconut
110 g sugar
1 egg
Process:
- 1st step: Add the flour, instant yeast, sugar, rum and vanilla to a bowl. mix everything with a spatula.
- 2nd step: Add the butter and salt, knead with your hands, then roll it onto the counter until you get a smooth dough (this dough will stick to your hands at first, so try to use your fingers)
- 3rd step: form a ball with the dough and let it rest for 30 minutes. after this time it is stretched with the roller, it stretches it bends, do this procedure 7 times.
*4th step: divide the dough into 60gr portions and form balls
- 5th step: in a cup mix the coconut, the egg and the sugar, make a paste, add on top to the breads
6th step: Cover with cling film and let stand until doubled in size. Bake at 180º for 25 minutes
