Saludos, estimados amigos de la comunidad Gems, por acá vengo a dejar este tema sobre este animalito domesticado.
Hace unos días, visité una amiga, luego de saludarnos, me trajo para que conociera su mascota. No les miento cuando les digo, que al verlo, lo que sentí fue terror, era un puercoespín, y como se oyen historias sobre sus espinas se podrán imaginar el susto que me dio, en mi cara se notó el miedo que sentí.
Al comenzar a interactuar con el animalito y ver sus acciones me quedé tranquila, es juguetón, come de todo un poco, corretea y persigue a otros animales, que tienen en su casa, juega con ellos, y además se sube encima de quienes tenga cerca, comienza por el brazo y así hasta montarse sobre la cabeza de ellos.
Fue un momento muy agradable y lo disfruté junto a esta familia, no perdí la oportunidad de tomar fotografías a este bello animal y por supuesto le hice también un video que compartí en Tik Tok. Aunque estos animales son del monte, este fue domesticado y se adaptó a sus dueños.
Visita a los vecinos, si se les descuidan hace de las suyas, le gusta comer, preferiblemente, pasta, pero también frutas y vegetales. Lo amé, luego de conocerlo, creo que así puede llegar a pasar con las personas, la primera impresión asusta, pero luego que los vamos conociendo, viendo sus cualidades aprendemos a quererlos.
Estar allí con mi amiga es como estar en mi casa por el trato que ella me brinda, la única diferencia es que donde vivo solo tengo perros y gatos. Este puercoespín es un animal, si se quiere, exótico, no es el tipo de mascota que la gente suele tener. Ruth me contaba que ellos lo criaron desde pequeñito, que en un viaje, que hizo su papá, cuando venia de regreso, lo vio a orilla de la carretera, casi lo atropella. Suponen que
tenía, aproximadamente, un mes de nacido cuando lo comenzaron a cuidar. Le daban tetero y a medida que fue creciendo lo enseñaron a comer verduras y vegetales, frutas también, hasta que él se adaptó a comer de todo un poco, aunque dentro de las preferencias en su comida está el espaguetis, le encanta mucho la pasta.
Este pequeño animal fue domesticado y aprendió a compartir con seres humanos. Como pueden ver en la foto es pacífico y tranquilo. Si nadie lo agrede él tampoco lo hace, duerme con el perro, juega con otros animales, con la gallina de la casa hace carreras, creo que no se llevan bien.
En la próxima visita que haga le tomaré fotos al resto de animales para poder compartir en esta comunidad, fue un momento muy bonito y agradable el que hoy pasé.

A few days ago, I visited a friend of mine. After we greeted each other, she brought me over to meet her pet. I'm not lying when I tell you that when I saw it, I felt terror. It was a porcupine, and since you hear stories about its spines, you can imagine how scared I was. You could see the fear I felt on my face.
When I started interacting with the little animal and seeing its actions, I felt calm. It is playful, it eats a little bit of everything, it runs around and chases other animals that it has at home, it plays with them, and it also climbs on top of those who are nearby, starting with their arms and continuing on until it climbs on top of their heads.
It was a very pleasant moment and I enjoyed it with this family. I did not miss the opportunity to take pictures of this beautiful animal and of course I also made a video that I shared on Tik Tok. Although these animals are from the mountains, this one was domesticated and adapted to its owners.
He visits the neighbors, if they are neglected he does his thing, he likes to eat, preferably pasta, but also fruits and vegetables. I loved him, after meeting him, I think that this can happen with people, the first impression is scary, but after we get to know them, seeing their qualities we learn to love them.
Being there with my friend is like being at home because of the treatment she gives me, the only difference is that where I live I only have dogs and cats. This porcupine is an animal, if you will, exotic, it is not the type of pet that people usually have. Ruth told me that they raised him from a very young age, and that on a trip his father made when he was returning home, he saw him on the side of the road and almost ran him over. They suppose that he was approximately one month old when they began to take care of him. They gave him a bottle and as he grew up they taught him to eat vegetables and fruits too, until he adapted to eating a little bit of everything, although his favorite food is spaghetti, he loves pasta a lot.
This little animal was domesticated and learned to share with human beings. As you can see in the photo, he is peaceful and calm. If no one attacks him, he doesn't do it either, he sleeps with the dog, plays with other animals, he races with the chicken, I think they don't get along.
On my next visit I will take photos of the rest of the animals to be able to share in this community, it was a very nice and pleasant moment that I spent today.
