I deleted my Facebook account several years ago as I was seing less and less value on the service and I started to get concerned about all my published info being used at their will. I still keep my X account although I have started to use nostr this week and plan to also delete it in the near future. Now that AI agents are starting to become popular, I am very aware of using them from my personal email account and I tend to use new email accounts not easily linked to my usual one.
At hive, we are quite aware of what it is centralized and decentralized networking, but we all come from central controlled world and although it is hard not to use some of the common services, it is good to be aware of some of the practices you can use to avoid so much "control". Today I found this guide offering help to get rid of your digital trace. I am sure it will be usefull for many as well as I will be to me in my path to be as much digital invisible as possible.
