In the third part of my photo report on my pond construction, the foil is now placed in the pond.
Im dritten Teil meines Bildberichtes über meinen Teichbau kommt nun die Folie in den Teich.
The hardest work was bringing the 56 kg foil to the pond. Then it wasn't really that bad anymore.
Die schwerste Arbeit war es die 56 kg schwere Folie zum Teich zu bringen. Dann war es eigentlich nicht mehr schlimm.
I had already unfolded it lengthwise to find out which side is the longest. This side was then laid along the house next to the pond and unfolded piece by piece.
Ich hatte sie ja schon der Länge nach ausgefaltet um herauszufinden welche Seite die Längste ist. Diese wurde dann entlang des Hauses neben den Teich gelegt und Stück für Stück entfaltet.
As usual, I had calculated everything exactly and soon the foil lay quite well in the pond. Now it was time to reduce wrinkles. Thanks to the warm temperatures, the foil was pleasantly soft and with a little fiddling I managed to do it quite well.
Wie üblich hatte ich alles genau berechnet und schon bald lag die Folie ganz gut im Teich. Jetzt ging es ans Falten vermindern. Dank warmer Temperaturen war die Folie angenehm weich undmit etwas Tüftelei gelang mir das Ganze recht gut.
Small pebbles were distributed as ballast to prevent the foil from floating up, then it was - water go!
Kleine Kieselsteine wurden als Ballast verteilt um ein Aufschwimmen zu verhindern, dann hieß es Wasser Marsch!
Water ran from the tap into the pond for a good hour, 3010 liters to be precise.
Aus der Leitung lief für eine gute Stunde Wasser in den Teich, genaugenommen 3010 Liter.
I wanted to know how things are at the edge of the pond. Is it leaking out somewhere or did I level well enough?
Ich wollte wissen wie es um den Teichrand bestellt ist. Läuft es an einer Stelle heraus oder habe ich gut genug nivelliert?
I stopped the water 3 cm below the edge and pushed some earth under the foil in two places. With that the pond was filled and another day was over.
3 cm unter der Kante stoppte ich das Wasser und an zwei Stellen habe ich noch etwas Erde unter die Folie geschoben. Damit war der Teich gefüllt und ein weiterer Tag zu Ende.

Made like a beautiful pond. It looks a lot like a small pond. It is well filled by the amount of water.
It is growing bigger in the next part :)
Es hört sich so einfach an. Als ob Du das schon 20 x gemacht hättest. Würde mich da ohne fachmännische Hilfe kaum ran trauen.

Für jeden Handstrich habe ich mir 20 Videos angeschaut :)
Ich bin es gewohnt alleine zu arbeiten und mir Dinge auszudenken. Manchmal wird es dann einfach nur Pfusch, ab und zu aber auch wirklich gut. Das hilft mir es immer wieder zu versuchen.

The weighted foil black wrapper is not easy to move and covered for the pond, wrinkles are tough to equivalent with pond parallel. Now it looks beautiful and find reflection on water.
