Hi,
I used to shut people out like this. Once I felt they didn't think or act the way I wanted or expected,I said goodbye without thinking twice. Twas more like I was expecting my clone in people I met, but at some point, God made me realize I needed to be more patient with people.
He taught me this through my friend, I don't know anyone who is patient with me like her,(and she has really gotten the shitty part of me,yet she hasn't shut me out.
Today I wish I could reopen the doors I shut.
We meet people for a reason, and sometimes we don't even feel at peace when we say these goodbyes.
I think if we should deal gently with the faults of others as we would ours, we would have more room in our hearts to accommodate people's excesses.
Life is a blank check.
Hope you think about this
Cheers 🥂.
Good points. It you read the poem so well, then you would understand the tone of the poem as not being judgy but sometimes life happens and you just have to let go, sometimes. I think you just picked the title as assumed it was about letting go of people due to indifference.
