Making an origami elephant (paper and digital)

Greetings dear friends, today I want to present what has been for me the most difficult origami to do (so far). I'm talking about the majestic elephant.
Saludos queridos amigos, hoy quiero presentar lo que ha sido para mí, el origami más difícil de hacer (hasta el momento). Les hablo del majestuoso elefante.
Origami is a very old art and during the time there have been several artists who have created unique and characteristic figures and today I want to present you the step by step of the figure designed by the origami artist FUMIAKI KAWAHATA and what would be my digital version of this piece.
El origami es un arte muy antiguo y durante el tiempo han existido diversos artistas que han creado figuras únicas y características y hoy quiero presentarles el paso a paso de la figura diseñada por el artista del origami FUMIAKI KAWAHATA y lo que sería mi versión digital de esta pieza.
I decided to make this piece in digital because I loved the work that my friend @kadoshmenorah has done in origami that I have presented before and it motivated me to try to create a digital work with photoshop.
Decidí hacer esta pieza en digital ya que me ha encantado el trabajo que ha realizado mi amigo @kadoshmenorah en origamis que he presentado anteriormente y me motive a intentar crear una obra digital con photoshop.

As you can see, there are 42 quite complex steps that will lead us to this magnificent result.
Como apreciaron son 42 pasos bastante complejos pero que nos guiaran a este magnífico resultado.

The first thing I did was to go crazy with a thousand layers (bad idea) since according to me it was the best way to obtain separate pieces, then I got desperate when they went from 15 layers and I unified them all and continued creating the shape of the elephant but with different tones, then with the magic wand and with the brush I selected each part of the figure to give it the shade and therefore depth.
When I felt satisfied I created a scenario like the Serengeti (including the characteristic tree) and added more touches of shadow and light to my figure. The last thing that I feel gave it more life was the shadow cast by the elephant.
I will leave you the photos with the evolution of the digitalization work. I should mention that it took me about 2 hours to digitize in this way, as I had never created images in this way before.
Lo primero que hice fue volverme loca con mil capas (mala idea) ya que según yo era la mejor manera de obtener piezas separadas, luego me desespere cuando pasaron de 15 capas y unifique todas y seguí creando la forma del elefante pero con tonos distintos, luego con la barita mágica y con el pincel fui seleccionando cada parte de la figura para darle la sombre y por ende profundidad.
Cuando me sentí satisfecha cree un escenario como el del Serengueti (incluyendo el característico árbol) y agregue más toques de sombra y luz a mi figura. Lo último y que siento que le dio más vida fue la sombra proyectada del elefante.
Les dejare las fotos con la evolución del trabajo de digitalización. Debo mencionar que tarde cerca de 2 horas en digitalizar de esta forma, pues nunca había creado imágenes de esta manera.
