Sublime Sunday: Christmas Cheer

It's December again!

Some of you know that we have a tradition among my sisters and myself to come together with close family to celebrate Advent and the birth of Christ.

The Nativity Set is so pretty.

We took the time to get the living room ready for the gathering.

Extra chairs were brought in to make sure there was enough seating for the kids, as well as for family and friends who would be joining us.

We moved the Christmas tree close to the door to enable the people to have a clear view of everyone and encourage conversation and togetherness, where everyone could gather and enjoy each other's company.

And for Christmas cheer, the kids came up with a production that was enjoyed by everyone!

Yes. We usually have our get-together in the house. But I got so sick for several weeks. Tomorrow I go to work full-time for five days, then I have a scheduled vacation!

O hope the children were not nervous during their performance. Didn't you have some children singing carols a few years ago? Maybe they were from another blogger, oh my memory. 🤔

!LOL, they may have been nervous, but we were all family, and they are used to us! Last year, we did Christmas carols (as we always do every year), where everyone sang! We always enjoyed the song "12 Days of Christmas."

What a wonderful way to spend the day with family and friends, true memories carry you through the week humming the tunes that pop into your head.

Yes, sis @joanstewart... celebrating the true spirit of Christmas. It will please you to know that we have had a get-together for Christmas for 22 years now! We were all single then, and now, except for myself and 2 others, all are married and with children.

Great having friends for such a long period of time, makes it more traditional.

Alas most our sharing at this time of year, have either moved country or passed away.

Now only family on Christmas Day living in Durban all ten of us, phone to wish our family inland or friends overseas. With no postal service even the joy of sending cards came to an abrupt end.
