Hello hivers, I hope the day is gong well for you! Here there is the Sun on the sky and we are having a little wind that makes a lot of leaves and petals flying around. It's a poetical scenes to see whle I'm drinking my cup of coffee during a pause from work. ^_^
Yesterday, after I finished the previous oil on canvas, in the late afternoon I started a new one and so I'm here to share some pics of the "work in progress".
As you can see, the subject is one of my character with no hair and just some simple lines to draw the face. I like so muc this kind of subject and, in time, I sold almost the most part of similar oil on canvas I made.
I'm painting this one for an Exhibition I have to do in the Summer, in a beautiful little village on the mountain close to my city.
Even if I'm working on this piece in my lab, I took the pics in my kitchen, because there is more natural light and the pics looks better . ^^
I'll need some other hours to finish it, cause I have to work on the details and on the background (I love to work on the background to give it the shades I want ^^ ).

I've completely abandoned my favorite thing. I can't get myself to do something. The war took away the desire to do something at all, to dream about something.
I hope this horror, the nightmare will end soon and we will again be able to live in peace, as before. Do your favorite thing.

It's always charming to see an artistic work, especially when it is an oil painting. I really like painting. Nice work @silviabeneforti, hope to see the final result when you will finish up the background and the touch-up for creating the emotion in the face of your subject. But honestly, I visited the link you gave in the description and I found your Paintings are really unique and extraordinary in the sense they have strong emotional expressions. The main focus of your subjects is facial expressions with a background that has eternity. well, that was my understanding, If I get to know, I really would like to know the motivation behind this Character/ subject.
