Hola amigos! Esta semana comienzo clases, por última vez en mi carrera universitaria. Es un poco extraño porque el semestre pasado presenté la tesis, y vi todas las materias del décimo semestre, menos una de ellas por motivos de la pandemia. Este semestre, por lo tanto, veré únicamente esa materia que no pude inscribir antes, y estoy muy emocionada. Esta situación de que solo me faltara una materia me molestaba y entristecía antes, pues me esforcé muchísimo para completar mi carrera en el tiempo justo, pero por la pandemia me retrasé un poco. Sin embargo, esas emociones ya se me pasaron, más bien estoy contenta de poder seguir conectada a la universidad un poco más. Este semestre con una única materia será como el pedacito de torta que indica que ya todo se va a terminar, el último mordisco a la vida universitaria.
Hello friends! This week I start classes, for the last time in my college career. It's a little strange because last semester I presented my thesis, and I saw all the subjects of the tenth semester, except one of them because of the pandemic. This semester, therefore, I will see only that subject that I could not register before, and I am very excited. This situation of only having one subject missing bothered me and made me sad before, because I tried very hard to complete my degree in the right time, but because of the pandemic I was a little late. However, those emotions have passed, and I am happy to be able to stay connected to the university a little longer. This semester with only one subject will be like the little piece of cake that indicates that everything will be over, the last bite at college life.
Ayer recibí las lecturas que debo preparar para la clase y ya estoy leyendo y anotando las cosas más importantes. Me gusta mucho estudiar, y la etapa universitaria de tener asignaciones, lecturas, y cosas por resumir, me encanta. Claro, mientras no sean demasiadas materias y demasiadas asignaciones. He llegado a inscribir semestres de 7 materias, e incluso llegué a estudiar en dos universidades la carga horaria completa y eso sí que no es vida. Por eso siento que me disfrutaré mucho este semestre, pues tendré todo el tiempo del mundo para leer con calma y aprender a mi ritmo.
Yesterday I received the readings I need to prepare for class and I am already reading and writing down the most important things. I really like studying, and the college stage of having assignments, readings, and things to summarize, I love. Sure, as long as it's not too many subjects and too many assignments. I've even enrolled semesters of 7 subjects, and I've even studied at two universities for the entire hourly load, and that's just not life. That's why I feel I'll enjoy this semester so much, because I'll have all the time in the world to read quietly and learn at my own pace.
Otra cosa que me emociona es que la materia que veré es una pasantía, específicamente pasantías de psicología clínica de la adultez. Eso es prácticamente como un acercamiento a lo que sería en el futuro mi profesión, atender en la práctica clínica a adultos. La última vez que atendí casos de forma individual fue en asesoramiento y eso fue hace casi un año, así que finalmente retomo mi papel como psicóloga, hahaha.
Another thing that excites me is that the subject I will be looking at is an internship, specifically an adult clinical psychology internship. This is practically an approach to what would be my future profession, to attend to adults in clinical practice. The last time I did individual case work was in counseling and that was almost a year ago, so I am finally returning to my role as a psychologist, hahaha.
