One of my favorite fruits is the coconut, not only for its flavor, but for its uses, from the sweet to the salty and sometimes you can be surprised of its use in the aesthetic part.

But, this time, I want to show you how I dehydrated the coconut so I could keep it for a long time and use it in my preparations, especially the sweets.

Así que sin más; ¡A por ello!

Go for it!

The first thing you have to do is get all the food out of the coconut.

After that, grate the food from the coconut.

Then, in a low-edged tray, it distributes all the coconut so that it can be made evenly.

You turn on your oven at 120° C and once it is hot, you take the tray to it. And you will move it from time to time so that everything can be cooked correctly.

This process takes about 1 hour. After you have taken all the humidity out of the coconut, it is dry and crispy, it is time to take it out of the oven and put it to cool down.

..., y ¡Tarán! Tienes tú coco rallado listo para usar.

..., and Taran! You have your grated coconut ready to use.

You can reserve it in a dry, clean and well closed glass container for your next preparations and thus surprise others with your freshly grated coconut. I let it brown a little more, because I like its color. But you can make it lighter, as long as it is crisp and not wet at all.
