For some time now I have been practicing everything I learned when I studied to be a Makeup Artist. I got a lot of inspiration from a makeup challenge I participated in recently.
The challenge consisted of interpreting words/themes, representing them in makeup using any kind of materials or techniques at our fingertips.
Desde hace un tiempo he estado practicando todo lo que aprendí al formarme como Artista del Maquillaje. Conseguí mucha inspiración en un desafío de maquillaje en el que participé hace poco.
El desafío constaba en interpretar palabras o temas, representandolos en maquillaje usando cualquier tipo de materiales o técnicas al alcance de nuestras manos.
The theme for this makeup was 'savage' and I interpreted it by depicting "a demon". I did it with dark style makeup, which by the way, is my favorite type of makeup.
This makeup is quite simple to do, you just have to mix the black and red colors very well to achieve good transitions that look well integrated and at the same time know how to apply them very well, especially the red color, so that it blends well on the skin and does not look with spots. I also used some yellow, orange and pink tones.
El tema para este maquillaje fue "salvaje" y lo interpreté al representar "un demonio". Lo hice con maquillaje tipo oscuro, que por cierto, es mi tipo de maquillaje favorito.
Este maquillaje es bastante sencillo de hacer, solo hay que lograr mezclar muy bien los colores negro y rojo para lograr buenas transiciones que se vean bien integradas y a la vez saber aplicarlos muy bien, sobre todo el color rojo, para que se mezcle bien sobre la piel y no se vea con manchas. También usé algunos tonos amarillos, naranjas y rosados.
I made details with inverted crosses, classic religious details, or rather anti-religious, I also made a triangle on my forehead to represent the fire.
To complete the demonic look, in the last step of editing the photos I edited my eyes to have an empty, deep and dark look.
Hice detalles con cruces invertidas, clásicos detalles religiosos, o anti-religiosos mejor dicho, también, hice un triangulo en mi frente en representación del fuego.
Para completar el aspecto demoníaco, en el último paso de edición de las fotos me edité los ojos para que tuvieran un aspecto vacío, profundo y oscuro.
PS: With this last picture, you may wonder if the tongue is also an editing job.... Well no, that's my real tongue 😛
