PsyberXSo in two days @psyberx will release the announced Gameplay footage for the upcoming blockchain/NFT Shooter
You can see the post about it here which also has a small peak preview of the footage. In my opinion it looks pretty professional and I didn't think a small Game studio would be able to pull something like this off. Obviously, the real questions are still unanswered as to the gameplay itself, the tokenomics of lvl as well as the NFT distribution and of course how fun the game is to play.
After PsyberX was introduced to Hive there was a big of a drama which I just want to recap brieflyraising some serious allegations to the credibility to the studio. Without going into much detail, I think so far the psyberx team has shown that these allegations have not held up very well. as I always argued that the success of the game was going to depend on the communication to Hive and its players. So far the team has done a pretty good job on this. SO kudos to them! It all started with @tuck-fheman
We are now left with the first real in game footage which looks promising. Again, if you want to check out the leak head over to the first link.
All of this progress and commitment is also reflected in the price of the lvl token on which the game is based. Obviously there were/are still risks involved with investing in (any) project. But I got in lucky when I saw a leak to the trailer and bought a significant amount of lvl. Price went back to almost 0 after the drama, but has since then increased tremendously.
lvl has a max supply cap at 500 million and currently the issuer has sold about 32% on the market still maintaining about 339 million tokens. This is obviously still a very centralized distribution, however the team will also use part of these resources for further development amongst other things.
I honestly think that price could still surge to about 0.01 Hive after the release of the footage and will then probably "crash" and stabilize perhaps at around 0.003 for the time being. Further documentation and releases are going to be required to push prices up which will obviously also depend on the success of the launch. I hope the team doesn't rush this and gets it right! It could be amazing to have the first blockchain/NFT shooter game on the Hive blockchain. If done right, we could see another "Splinterlands" with massive amounts of users signing up for a Hive account :)

You've been very fair in your write up. I look forward to the AMA on 2/20 and if course the video release on 2/6. It ought to be pretty spectacular... going for the best. Hive deserves another game with 300k+ active users... and not just another card game!

As someone who is slowly getting into the groove of Splinterlands and would love to alternate games from time to time especially one that offers different features other than a card game, this is a welcome development.

took me a while to get involved with splinterlands as well; definitely takes some time and resources, but now I quite like playing it and there are a lot of things still in development.
