Tarot Tuesday reading for the week of July 7th 2020

in GEMS4 years ago

Welcome to another one of my Tarot Tuesday posts! I started doing these free readings monthly back in late 2015, then switched to every week in early 2016. They're by far my most popular posts, as well as being one of my favorites to put together. Today's reading is for the week of July 7th 2020.

The past couple of weeks, I tried a new thing with my spoiler space graphic. I had a composite photo (similar to the one I use for my "for entertainment purposes only" graphic) and I asked if anyone had a quote, or song lyric, or poem that might match well with it, so I could create some quotos (quote + photo = quoto). I got one suggestion from the amazeballs South African foodie (plus other awesomeness) blogger Fiona (of Fiona's Favourites), and I did one with the first poetical bit that popped into my mind when I was putting it together. Hope you like them!

Now to get on with the reading. The setup of how I do these was not my original idea - I was actually inspired by how a few other bloggers were doing their readings back years ago. And since this method is a little bit different than how some other readers on other social media do them (usually posting the card backs first, then the messages at a later time), here's a quick breakdown on how this works...

First, pick a card you are drawn to from the photo below. If more than one speaks to you, go ahead and pick that one too. You can even pick all three, in whatever order you like!

When you've decided on your card (or cards), scroll down to the bottom of the page for the photo revealing the card faces, and your message for the upcoming week.

Also, don't be worried if you don't happen to see this exactly on Tuesday. The message will be ready and waiting for you whenever you get here. 😊

I would also like to mention...

disclaimer

Now here are the backs of the cards for this week. Take a moment to clear your mind, inhale and exhale deeply, center yourself - whatever you need to do to focus. When you're ready, take a look at the photo and then decide which one (or ones) speaks to you. Then scroll down to the bottom of the post for the picture of the front of the cards, and your message.

Next up, as a bit of insurance policy to make sure you don't see the picture of the front of the cards before you've made your choice, I'm putting some of my infographics here as a type of spacer/spoiler prevention. Like I said at the top of the post, these are a couple of quotos I just put together, using a composite photo I created using one of my crow, and one of my moon shots, paired with a freeware PNG of a window frame.

Fiona suggested something Moonshadow related...

And I thought of a line from a poem called A Memory from Love Triumphant, a Book of Poems by Frederic Lawrence Knowles.

Now it's time for the big reveal! Here are the fronts of the cards...

...and the messages for each card are...

1. Knight of Swords

Charge it! You're ready to run full tilt in a direction, and there's nothing, or nobody, who can stop you. You have the passion and the drive to make things better, and you are ready to face any obstacles in your way. Just be careful that, in your haste to get to your destination, you don't accidentally trample people in your path. Focus, awareness, and a little preparation to go with your enthusiasm will help ensure success. And the reason I said, "Charge it"? Every time I see this card, that's the first thing to pop in my head (thanks, Wilma and Betty!).

Tarot Tidbit: The last time the The Knight of Swords showed up for a Tarot Tuesday was well over a year ago (in the third position) back on May 14th, 2019! And the time before that (when it was also in the first position) was well over a year as well, way back on January 2nd, 2018.

2. Judgement

Forgive and move on. You've been carrying a heavy burden on your shoulders - you're feeling guilty about something in your past, or you're angry at something that happened to you. In either case, it's time to leave those things in the past, allow your wounds to heal (rather than constantly reopening them), and use your experiences to help others overcome their burdens. In fact, your pain might lead you to an awakening, and a new calling which will put you in a position to be the voice for those who can't speak. And remember, "when you lose small mind, you free your life."

Tarot Tidbit: After not having been seen since the fall, Judgement is back for the second time in two weeks - it was here in the second position on June 23td, 2020 and before that, it was in the third position back on November 12th, 2019.

3. Seven of Cups

Decisions, decisions. You know the saying, "Careful what you wish for - you might get it?" After wishing you had more options, suddenly you have a ton to choose from. Now is not the time to be dazzled by the display - instead, take some time to carefully consider the practicalities involved, and pick based on reality, not wishful thinking. This card also shows up for me as a reminder to stop dreaming, and start doing - or, in the immortal words of Dr. Frank-N-Furter, "Don't dream it, be it."

Tarot Tidbit: The last time the Seven of Cups showed up was earlier this year, in the second position, on February 11th, 2020. Before that, it hadn't been spotted in well over a year, with the prior time, also in the second position, on New Year's day (aka January 1st, 2019).

I hope you enjoyed your message for the week of July 7th 2020! Bright blessings to you!
