Today, I went out again and ended up at Mono’s Doughnut. It was a nice choice because the place felt very warm and good. The smell of fresh donuts got to me, and I felt at ease right away. It wasn’t too big, but it had just the right kind of space to feel comfortable.
The lights were soft, the tables were neat, and there were people chatting and enjoying their food. It was the kind of place where you could sit for hours without noticing the time.
What I liked most about Mono’s was how peaceful it felt. There were people around, but it wasn’t noisy. Some were with friends, some were alone, and others looked like they were also doing school or work. It made me think the shop wasn’t just for eating it was also a good place to relax, reflect, or even study. I could easily say it’s a spot perfect for solo dates. You can enjoy your own company there, and it feels nice.
When I saw the counter filled with donuts, I knew I couldn’t leave without trying some.
I ordered two donuts a matcha donut and a coffee crumble donut. The matcha one was my favorite because I’ve always loved anything matcha. It had that good, tasty flavor with a bit of sweetness, and it felt so comforting. The coffee crumble was sweet and crunchy, and it went perfectly with the drinks I ordered. Having both on my plate made me smile.
For my drink, I started with an iced coffee. At the same time, I was answering something related to my entrepreneurship subject, so the coffee helped me stay focused.
Sitting there with my drink and my donuts, I worked on my school task while enjoying the calm vibe of the place. It didn’t feel heavy or stressful. Instead, it felt like I was studying in comfort, which is not something I always get to do.
After a while, though, I couldn’t help it I really wanted matcha. It’s one of my favorite drinks, and I knew I couldn’t leave without having one. So I went back and ordered a matcha latte.
The first sip reminded me why I love it so much. It was smooth, slightly sweet, and calming. Unlike coffee, which wakes me up and pushes me to keep going, matcha feels softer. It gives me comfort, almost like a warm hug in a cup.
At that moment, I felt so good. I had my donuts, my iced coffee was done, and now I had my matcha. I was still doing my work, but I didn’t feel rushed. I was just enjoying my time. Looking around, I noticed other people enjoying the shop in their own ways. Some were laughing with friends, others were quietly working, and a few were just enjoying their snacks. It made me realize how nice the place really was it gave everyone their own little space of comfort.
Walking out of the shop, I felt lighter and happier. Sometimes all we need is a cozy place, a good drink, and something sweet to remind us that life doesn’t always have to be so serious. For me, today, that place was Mono’s Doughnut. And I’m sure I’ll be back again.
Ohhh, seems like that donut shop is known in that area no, the donuts looks masarap. I'm curious how much one donut cost. 🤔
And this! Yes to this! We also need some chill time, do what you want, eat what you want and give yourself the time to relax and enjoy.
