Christmas 2020 with @wanderwithtwo

Hello everyone! 👋

We hope everyone has had a lovely Christmas despite what still happening around the world. We had to make slight adjustment to this year’s celebrations as we had last minute restrictions kick in with the COVID19 grinch making its rounds again in our country. Despite the restrictions, we were glad to have spent some quality time with our family and some friends.

On Christmas Eve, we had a peaceful one as we wanted to make sure we had plenty of rest and time to prepare food for the feasts we were to have in the coming days. We had time to admire our Christmas tree and made sure the presents were in check and that none were destroyed by our furbaby Taro as we did put a lot of trust in him and left the presents under the tree for some time without blocking the area from him. Thankfully all was well ☺️

The morning of Christmas we were up early and had a simple breakfast at home. We spent most the morning making food and having Taro open his first present from us as it was his first Christmas. He loved his toy and was occupied playing with it while we got ready to leave the house.

Christmas celebrations this year was lunch at grandma’s with lots and lots of food that was impossible to demolish in one sitting. The leftovers became dinner as well that night.

Usually we have a huge family gathering for Christmas with extended family and family friends however due to the new restrictions we had to keep it to immediate family only and some of our relatives weren’t able to make it from another state as boarders had to close again which was a shame and huge disappointment.

Despite all that happening, we still had an enjoyable Christmas and made the most out of it. Fingers crossed that we would be able to see our other family and friends in the new year.
