Qurator's Monday Missions | Old Stuff

in GEMS4 years ago (edited)
Hello Friends, this great contest of the Monday missions of the friend @qurator, which consists of exposing a photograph with an original content, every Monday changes the theme, and now it is our turn to show an old stuff. I love this mission because it's a challenge to create or find something according to the theme.

I took this picture at a friend's house, who still has this relic of a car, ford Mercury Montclair brand, year 1955.

It was an inheritance he received from his father. He keeps it as a treasure. This type of old car is the repository of our desires and aspirations for the adrenaline of status, speed, and the comfort of luxury, strength, adventure and power

I like to see him and pose in front of such an elegant antique car that it is not common to see it all the time. There are a lot of people who are fans of these very traditional cars that were a sensation in their time. Definitely, each of us has its own equation to define its taste.

I think that maintaining something so old requires a sentimental meaning and value. It is true that things give us security and improve our self-esteem; like a house, a car, a life insurance, although life is pure uncertainty, since, in this society in which we live the Self is to have, and we know that we do not feel the same driving a new car as an old one.

Truly, it is that the more trained we have the eye to appreciate the differences, the closer we get to an appreciation of beauty from the point of view of the design and model that we will never see again, because changes are always.
