Siempre me siento más cómoda y tranquila en una casa con gatos

I always feel more comfortable and calm in a house with cats

Cuando vi esta foto recordé mis horas frente a la computadora estudiando o trabajando y lo importante que es que tu gata te acompañe durante ese tiempo, que duerma sobre tu computadora, intentes moverla para poder teclear y que cuando te descuides esté de nuevo durmiendo sobre el teclado. Son de esas cosas que deberían molestarte, pero quienes vivimos con gatos sabemos que ellos son dueños de todo, que pueden dormir donde quieran y que somos afortunados por su compañía.

When I saw this photo I remembered my hours in front of the computer studying or working and how important it is for your cat to accompany you during that time, to sleep on your computer, to try to move her so that you can type and when you are careless she is sleeping on the keyboard again. Those are things that should bother you, but who live with cats know that they own everything, that they can sleep wherever they want and that we are fortunate for their company.

Mi gata tiene ahora 3 años, apareció en la puerta de mi casa una noche y luego de una corta discusión con mi mamá y mi hermano, decidimos que se quedaría en casa, la nombramos Cala, pero siempre la llamamos Chiquita. Es una gata cariñosa pero ruda, lo que más le gusta es jugar a morderte, dormir en tu panza y morderte (de nuevo) la barbilla para demostrarte su amor. Le ha tomado tiempo, pero ha logrado subirse a la ventana y a todos los lugares altos de la casa, puede pasar todo el día en mi cama, pero todas las noches duerme en la silla mecedora que mi mamá tiene en su cuarto. En fin, creo que le gusta su rutina de tomar sol, dormir, comer y procurar nunca estar sola.

My cat is now 3 years old, she appeared at the door of my house one night and after a short discussion with my mother and my brother, we decided that we would keep her. Her name is Cala, but we call her Chiquita. She is a loving but rude cat, what she likes the most is to play biting you, sleep on your belly and bite your chin (again) to show you her love. She has taken her time, but she has managed to climb the window and all the high places in the house, she can spend all day in my bed, but every night she sleeps in the chair that my mother has in her room. Anyway, I think she likes her routine of sunbathing, sleeping, eating and trying to never be alone.

Me gusta creer que los gatos son mitad animales mitad dioses, viven con nosotros para estar seguros y alimentados, pero también para darnos protección y enseñarnos sobre cómo la independencia y el amor pueden venir juntos, por eso siempre me siento más cómoda y tranquila en una casa con gatos.

I like to believe that cats are half animals - half gods, they live with us to be safe and fed, but also to give us protection and teach us about how independence and love can come together, that's why I always feel more comfortable and calm in a house with cats.

I'm so tempted but @saffisara will totally tell me off! You have a very nice looking feline, and you are totally right cat's are half god's - nobody own's a cat it just uses your living space for it's needs and if you are lucky it might be a little bit nice to you while it is filling in time before it goes forth into the great outdoors to do "cat stuff"
