Management strategies to optimize administrative processes in small farmers.

in GEMS2 years ago
In recent decades, important changes began to take place within organizations in developed countries and later in underdeveloped countries, as they began to organize themselves more frequently in order to meet their needs. Management specialists point out that for years management practices had been in crisis, producing very specific questions about the work carried out by small producers, as well as the tasks and skills they should develop to achieve effective production and implement programs and projects that benefit the community.

In this regard, Chiavenato (2007) refers that organizations, administrative-managerial entities, must provide conceptual instruments, practical tools for action, turning from the rhetorical to the practical, to follow closely what is happening in the environment; thus allowing the application of a management approach, which facilitates the understanding of what is new and the need for change in general. In the same way, administrative processes are the components of the interrelated activities of planning, organization, direction and control of all the activities that involve the organizations within the same and within the agricultural organizations.

Thus, Venezuela has had farmers and ranchers as the main leaders of the land so that they can direct their offers and demands through some undefined administrative processes, since it is based on peasant family production, which corresponds to an evolution of the indigenous forms or those of the peoples of the missions. The peasant and administrative production system, not having an expansive vocation, has been reduced in relative terms, its participation in the production of the land.

Now, the history of the Venezuelan countryside indicates that producers do not carry out or apply administrative processes since their small farms are run in an empirical manner, which is why today small producers need to progressively improve the managerial skills applied within the production units, trying to reasonably ensure the proper management of the administrative processes that are carried out in favor of their management, especially in the managerial strategies.

In some small farms or plots in Venezuela, they do not carry or apply the administrative processes and this brings with it a series of limitations in the management practices, as well as weaknesses related to agricultural tasks and skills, also the channels used are not the most appropriate; throwing as causes that the producer does not listen to suggestions, contributions or ideas of his staff, he is still attached to the ancestral practices and the little consensus to achieve the organizational change that the production unit requires and finally the lack of interest and orientation to change. Likewise, its consequences were poor development of management skills, resistance to organizational and technological change, low productivity and profitability in the economic activities of the production unit.
