Been awhile since having some boulders photos, I need to live in Utah where there is many boulders and rocks. Not that many I find near me other than the Sisters, which are my favorite boulders of them all. They are near Clam Gulch in Alaska. This is the sun coming up from behind one of them.
This is the front side of the Sisters with the Cook inlet and mount Redoubt volcano in the back ground, this was at low tide.

Beautiful photos! We both need to live in Utah! I just stumbled across an old Fridays Rock post the other day. Still wonder what happened to her.

.I was shocked when I saw the photo of the small human on the left side of the boulder, which means that thing is huge. The human looks small. : )
I've taken a lot of shots of these boulders and only a few times there
was people to give it some scale, sure makes a difference! :-)
Did you click and zoom in on them? lol
Like the Alaskan Stonehenge the way the light hits a certain area of the Boulder, Neat capture Shasta.
Perhaps a huge henge, there is another set of huge boulders
way out in the water, sometime can see them between these
closer ones. Then if you stand by another large rock that
is near the trail down to the beach and look through the
two sisters to this other set and look in the distant mountain
range, it would be the area the sun gets to during
summer solstice! :-)
I remember you noticed the dark area on the boulder that looks
like a fisherman! ❤
There is a dark human like shadow on the left side of the boulder….Fisherman, miner or maybe mermaid. 😊
I like the color shot with the mountains in the distance. The contrast between the gray boulders and the blue mountains is nice. And you also get a sense of not just how big the boulders are with the human in the photo but also how far away the mountains are.
Mount Redoubt the tallest across the inlet to the right side of the boulders
is about 50 miles away roughly measured on google maps.
Sometimes its nice to have some humans for scale lol
Thank you ❤ @steven-patrick! :-)
