The Leopards of Africa.

During my Africa Safari Tours there was one animal that I admired mostly and that was the Leopards they were seen in many ranges of habitats from the grasslands to the deserts from southern Africa, northern Africa, to mountainous environments on Mt. Kenya, to the rainforests of west and central Africa. These large powerfully built carnivores hunters are built with a fast long body getting up to speeds of to 60 kph they are a member of the cat family. I was surprised to learn that the Leopards spend most of their time in trees to avoid other predators which may pose a threat to them. I found them to be quite relaxed sitting up in the trees just like monkeys hanging around in trees.

The equipment used was all Nikon. Early shots with a D70, later shots with 2 x D3 bodies.
