Today my mother and I went to the rice field area to pull out the grass growing in the rice field, on the way there we chose to take an alternative route that could only be passed on foot, of course we had to pass through many plantations owned by the local community, when we were almost at the rice field area, suddenly I managed to find a leafhopper that was mating, because I rarely saw this moment, so I decided to approach the grasshopper.
This grasshopper didn't fly when I approached it and at first I didn't know which one was male and which one was female, because I was curious I tried to call my mother to ask which one was male and which one was female.
According to my mother, male grasshoppers are smaller, while female grasshoppers are larger, more precisely, the males are larger than the females. It turns out there's a very noticeable size difference between males and females, and this was a new lesson I learned from my mother.
After photographing this grasshopper, my mother immediately took me to the rice fields to save time.
