Good day, fellow hivers, welcome to my blog. I carried out my cleaning activity for the day within my community.I collected the wastes and disposed them off properly.
In this part of the world, waste collection and disposal must be a team effort, both at the household and the family level. We need to concentrate on removing waste from the environment. Recycling materials in plastic, polythene bags, glass, and so on is a simple way to start keeping our environment clean. An average Nigerian would drop their water sachets, biscuits, nylon, bottled, or canned drinks containers, and candy packs on the roadsides, in boarded vehicles, or on highways, but it has been done so from time immemorial, and it's high time for Nigerians to refrain from indiscriminate garbage disposal to mobile waste bagging.
To assist each state and local government in waste management, there should be full funding support. Waste bins must be purchased and placed in designated areas on streets and communities, with effective monitoring and supervision by waste workers. For people to be aware of the negative effects of an unsanitary, polluted environment, daily waste collection and vigorous advocacy should be conducted. However, to pay for services provided, the household must be educated and moderately levied. I think the government must respond quickly because the bulk of this illicit waste disposal pollutes waterways and makes human beings vulnerable to infections.
