Good day, fellow hivers, welcome to my blog. I carried out my cleaning activity for the day. I moved around the community to pick up some litter. We should show concern for the planet by keeping it clean.
Many people do not care about anything else other than food, in this part of the world. This is why many are not bothered by the indiscriminate refuse disposal.
Environmental degradation caused by improper waste disposal practices is a critical problem that requires urgent action from both governments and private sectors, especially in this part of the world. The detrimental effects on the environment, public health, and local communities are significant and cannot be ignored.
Poor waste management has led to the spread of vector-borne diseases like Lassa fever, cholera, typhoid etc.
Unregulated development, insufficient infrastructure, and improper waste disposal all contribute to these problems.
Addressing environmental degradation and its public health implications should be a top priority for everyone. A coordinated effort between the government, private sector, and local communities is essential to find long-term, sustainable solutions that protect the environment and safeguard human health.
